In the real world I work, I pay my taxes, I vote to ensure a better life for as many people as possible even if I have to give up a tiny bit in the process…
But sometimes I just want to log into a fantasy world and slaughter a village, raise them into Undeath, and force my shambling Horde to ravage their loved ones. Or rather, send a demonic Horde into the streets of Stormwind, taking down as many people as possible and damning their souls into Soul Gems for my demonic brothers-in-arms.
I wish this could’ve been a thing, to support the axis of evil in all of the past expansions we’ve had so shoehorning in faction conflicts by swinging the villain-bat at random characters was unnecessary and I could live out the fantasy that made me main a DK for as long as I did.
Blizzard would never do this, they would have to be unique/corrupted versions of the existing races that are visually distinct from the Alliance and Horde races.
Eredar being a good example. Sure, they’re Draenei, but rather than being blue they’re a rich red with Fel-corrupted features.
I really had hoped Shadowlands was bringing this. Sylvanas could have easily been a third faction that appealed to undead and allowed for undead of every race/class.
I sure wish we had some sort of necromancy class that would allow you to raise corpses. And no, the summon undead for a DK just isn’t the same. I don’t know how WoW could actually fit this into it though. Guild Wars 1 had a Necromancer that could raise corpses. If there were no exploitable corpses around though, your spells were kind of useless. But that was just how it worked.
So, I doubt WoW could ever have a main rotation revolving around reanimating corpses, but it could be a “for fun” class if they ever made those lol.
You said you wanted an evil faction. I told you, it exists. You just can’t play in it because Slyvanas doesn’t think you are cool enough. (I am surprised Blizzard never splintered the factions, the Nelves/Worgens leave the Alliance due to Anduin’s foolishness, Slyvanas and her loyalists go be evil in a playable faction.
Literally every race in the game has done this at some point. So by your logic every race is evil then.
Humans, joined the legion and oldgods numerous times seeking power leading to massive deaths and conflicts.
Dwarves, worshipped an elemental lord hellbent on destroying the planet. (I know this was mostly dark irons, i will concede that bronzebeard and wildhammer havent exactly dont all that much evil things)
Night elves literally blew up the planet and were one of the main reasons the legion invaded our world on the first place.
Gnomes, ya got me there.
Draenei happily turned themselves over to the legion and a crusading army of light in the AU.
Worgen, you got me again i cant think of any examples of a worgen specifically causing some sort if devestation.
Orcs gave themselves over to the legion for power and proceeded to wage multiple bloody wars killing pretty much everything in sight, not to mention everything they did under garroshs rule. Oh they also destroyed their home planet.
Forsaken, i dont need to explain how their evil.
Tauren, you got me there.
Trolls have had multiple uprisings thst involved attacking variorlus races of the world. Not to mention all the things they do in the name of the loas approval.
Blood elves, you covered what makes them evil
Pandas, you got me there.
Goblins care about nothing other than money. Force people into slavery, and are basically azeroths underground mafia. In the same sense of “blood elves will do anything for mana juice” goblins will do anything for a gold.
Tldr/point: every race in this game, for the most part, has an evil history.
