Notice lately if you ask in a support ticket about anything the blizz staff directs you to wowhead so in a way wowhead is official even tho they claim not to be which is a dangerous route especially with all the political propaganda they push. Really would be nice if blizz makes an official site attached to the blizz site with info on items and bosses and such because as it is now, if someone were to leak something morally wrong about wowhead staff or they get into a lawsuit of their own ect from their agendas it will drag blizzard thru the mud. So as a precaution blizz really should make their own which is only info and not biased or flaming or limiting free speech once they state their opinion as if its fact. For instance this whole censoring thing, perhaps blizz is doing it out if respect but wowhead makes it look like its a whole nother narritive.
i really doubt that even if blizz would make some official database that it would be better than wowhead
just go to wowhead, they know the game better than the wow team does.
How? blizz would have true data, can update exactly when items are no longer drop able or changed ect

Naw they are very shady especially when they are being advertised by blizz yet claim no affiliation while constantly pushing politics. Blizz needs to get away from politics cut all political ties both from 3rd parties seen as their face and from within their own company.

yeah wowhead staff were very passionate about the mushroom being phallic and how big of an improvement the change was lol they were censoring all the comments and banning ppl who mentioned mushroom is as fitting as a flower for a druids nature spell as it even represents the fairy circles in mythology even ones that are ingame oh boy did their staff get so triggered over that logic

my theory on it was that because of the flower being a see thru green glow one is a possible tie to the emerald dream/ life lands especially with the leaked new elune xmog set coming soon and the grimiore book confirming elunes part of the lifelands pantheon of life but oh boy did wowhead get enraged that how dare something think it was anything other than “the company censoring their sick bro culture” like calm down its just a mushroom jesus what next gunna censor all of zangarmarsh and al lthe mushroom race creatures in wow? plus pushing fake news and hiding the little detail that theres a glyph to change it back to original.

Depends on what you mean “official”. There’s a trust relationship between Blizzard and Wowhead allowing users to authenticate into Wowhead using Battle.net credentials.
There would have been lawyers and agreements signed in order for that to happen, so if not “official” Wowhead is at the very least sanctioned. That goes for any site that Blizzard has allowed federation into.

Official in the terms of blizz having links to wowhead as well as staff directing players to wowhead (kinda feel thats lazy too because you are blizzard and having ppl go to this other site as if its official when they claim they aren’t and they advertise songs like ram ranch and make alot of biased political propaganda and harass players who do not believe the same as them. If blizz continues to promote them they need to insert big changes in wowhead and regulated them to be neutral and facts only unless its opinions about lore not politics
