This might be my best idea yet.
GDKP tokens. Each one costs 5 usd dollars.
They’re not tradeable through the trade window. Instead, a new loot option is now enabled called Token DKP. It enables a bidding window for items where you can actively bid how many GDKP tokens for whichever items. When the final boss is dead and their loot has been distributed, the system automatically disperses the tokens evenly.
Blizzard will make millions, maybe even trillions of usd dollars.

No thanks, i would take an account wide currency you get from killing bosses that could be bid for gear instead. Fixes all the issues
Satire aside, this isn’t a terrible idea.
The question then becomes… are those boss kill tokens bound to a guild, and do they get distributed to everyone at the end of a raid based on bids?
WoW Classic Denars would be so wild.
