Blizzard Revives Hardcore Characters Affected by DDoS Attacks

Exactly, the streamers aren’t special. They shouldn’t have received special treatment.

I know others from this attack were revived too, but we’ve already covered that those people aren’t special.

They are, they bring increased brand awareness / engagement and revenue for Blizzard. Others do not. I know that doesn’t seem fair, but that’s the reality.

And I haven’t seen any indication that although that guild brought increased awareness to this problem, that Blizzard isn’t also reviving non-streamer characters from that particular attack and going forward.

No solution is perfect, and I think they made the best choice given the circumstances.

Blizzard needs to do a rollback for all deaths associated with all known ddos attacks, dating to as far as 2 weeks ago during world first. It’s disappointing to watch them only cater to the streamers and those that died around their time frame but neglect those who had to suffer for weeks prior. They need to go back further.

I hope so too. I died on my first character, a 54 warrior during the DDOS of March 12th - my group was wiped while in BRD.
