This makes you a backstabber because all your posts are contradicting.
They didn’t “lie” but it was unprofessional to set a release date they didn’t know they could make. Unprofessional.
I too can make vague statements that dont allude to anything?
Don’t be an entitled Karen. Things happen and it was totally fine that the game is delayed.
Read that post again. I don’t think you came close to understanding it. Or I don’t understand your point. One of those is absolutely true.
delays have been happening since BC
Do you have any proof they KNEW they couldn’t make the release date?
No? Just assumptions? Okay then.
#PrePathetic
Here I am wondering what you people, the ones complaining about it being delayed, want: a BfA grade release or an possible non buggy as hell release?
Because if you want to be released before it is ready you sure are the kind of player that loves BfA.
They probably should open up a channel for refunds on sub time in consideration of the returning players who came back in anticipation of SL and now feel bait & switched.
You can unsub now and save your money, but I bet you will be here for prepatch anyways.
I agree. And all the reassurances came with the knowledge that people were working less efficiently due to the trump virus. Just pointing out that it’s still technically going to be released in the fall… perhaps it was a bit tongue in cheek. Actually, many months ago when people would ask in the CS Forum about the SL release date, I’d always tell them it’s been announced to be released on or before December 31st (which at the time was the only official notice). All the CSFers scoffed at me. Looking like I was right. How you like them apples, CSFers? ![]()
To SELL games. Easy. They lied to sell more. They knew it was a hot mess and they needed more time. Everyone knows that. You play beta? Hot mess! Skills not working for some classes. Balance WAY off, like 50% damage off for some classes. Big mess, yet they say, we are on time…time and time again. Right! The late delay in announcing it was to sell more games. That’s my honest answer.
I said they didn’t lie…
It is unprofessional to set a date they could not make. Are you slow? Those are two different things. You see, in the real world I have consequences when I tell a power utility their boiler will be operational by a set date and it isn’t ready then. Liquid Damages.
Do you have any proof they KNEW they couldn’t make the release date?
They shouldn’t have made their release dates for the past 4 or so expacs is the point.
Again, what indicated that they would break their norms of releasing buggy untuned expansions?
We just spent BfA with Cutting Edge mythic guilds essentially beta testing mythic encounters on live. This is the Blizzard im familiar with.
Im still wondering why they went out of their way to reassure everyone multiple times about the expac date while in actually being uncertain that they would make it in time.
To get people to sub. It worked on you and many others. Get that refund fam!
Gotta make that quarterly report look good despite a delay on the xpac. Activision ALWAYS does whatever makes them the most money or saves them the most money. This delay isn’t about consumer friendly practices at all. Its about saving them the most money instead of having to give out refunds when the unfinished product releases.
Sounds more like entitlement.

If you want me to throw hearts on your post so you’re satisfied just say the word.

You already know ![]()
If this all it takes for people to get “pissed” they may need to find a new hobby. No matter what Blizz does you will always get these negative nancies who feel the need to nitpick at semantics.
I for one am glad they gave us a date for pre-patch so we can get the hell away from all the BFA crap and for an altaholic like myself it’ll be great time to enjoy the new leveling experience and character customization. And in the meantime, they can get this next expansion polished. And that is my personal opinion on the matter, feel free to disagree, won’t change my mind.

this assumes that the game is going to be canceled
Pre-patch isn’t coming till the 13th too.
Yup, They wanted to sell more games. That’s my conclusion. If they truly wanted what was best for the players they would have delayed it long before this.
I do think the delay is necessary and good. But I stand firm on this late hour announcement as very poor management.
