just an adjustment for the difference in currency I imagine.
I was more trying to poke fun at the players I’ve seen thinking blizz isn’t making any money from them.
I didn’t think my post was very tinfoil hat-y, but I guess you read it that way.
They did? I know we have to pay taxes now, which sucks, Ontario’s 13% tax on top of the exchange rate makes everything too damn expensive for me as a Canadian
I’ll stand up for highschool dropouts, if you are looking to aim at someone:
Ray Kroc. (You have been to McDonalds, yes?)
Albert Einstein (Ever hear of the Theory of Relativity?)
Elton John. (You may have heard a song or 2 by him.)
Colonel Sanders. (Ever eat at KFC?)
Charles Dickens. (He wrote a book or 2.)
Walt Disney. (Think he made some cartoon mouse.)
Harry Houdini. (Most famous magician in history.)
John Rockefeller. (First billionaire in the world.)
Thomas Edison. (Ever hear of the lightbulb?)
Ben Franklin. (You know, the guy on a US $100 bill?)
The list goes on and on. Perhaps you should stop looking at your phone in class and pay attention to the teacher and read a textbook or 2…)
Have a wonderful day!!!
Do people still not get it ?
The actual price has not gone up . WoW game time is based around the U.S. Dollar amount of $15/month.
What has changed is the value of other countries current to the value of the U.S. Dollar.
What these increases are is making it so when the money comes from one country’s banks to the bank in the U.S. that Blizzard uses and the funds have been converted to U.S. currency the amount per player deposited is that $15 month.
Problem isn’t Blizz, the problem is with the economies of some contries in their relation to the U.S. Dollar.
Ukraine can use some of that money the U.S. sent boat loads of. And a Turkey can’t even use a computer, let alone play wow lol
That’s one way to be insulting a country I suppose
And here you are going to keep supporting them by giving them your money and continuing to play their games. That says a lot about you if you believe what you typed.
They don’t want to get it, they want to be angry and outraged.
Angry and outraged is the new fad.
I grew up in the Live and Let Live times.
I really miss those days…
Sorry it’s been one of those days lol.
2009 was the turning point, that’s when the downward spiral started.
Yes let’s list people from a time dropping out of high school was the norm. Lol. Also let’s keep listing people who would not agree at all with op. Makes sense. You another dropout to?
our sub prices are super cheap lol
the real crime here is that it was raised for turkey as well and no one cares because turkeys not been relevant since ww1.
Sick man of europe indeed.
Sad. It probably makes sense business wise, but it’s not a good time for Blizzard to raise sub prices for Ukraine at a time like this, especially when they’re being illegally and offensively invaded by a country that is ruled by a totalitarian dictator who seeks to restore the USSR / Russian Empire. It’ll only look bad on Blizzard image wise.
Slava Ukraine
i mean our dollar has already been undervalued by current prez admin through bad policy and by activision through bad game design and writing.
I feel for the Ukrainians… Getting invaded by Russia, constantly attacked and dehumanized by Russia and its allies, and now their entertainment to distract them from it is getting a big increase in price.
Trump isn’t in office anymore.
If they up the sub price then I’m stepping out. IMO it’s too expensive.
This. Adjusting for inflation, the monthly sub fee in the US should have passed $20 back in 2019.
