Hello Blizzard Support/Development team,
I have been following your games for a long time(20years) my favorite is Classic WoW and as happy I am that you brought it back to life, there are issues that needs to be addressed asap.
Launch has been smooth except long que, but that’s something to be expected. I even understand the fact you rolled less servers then the demand was and started adding more as the time went. As long as you keep up the promise to remove layering I think we will be okay. Could it been organized better? Yes, most of people lost connection with their friends, because of server que and adding servers too late. But it’s okay it’s not too late to fix it!
Realm PAID transfers need to be introduced yesterday! Many guilds are breaking apart, because of people being stuck on servers without a way out. I already lost many friends to this and guild that has been together for 8years is breaking apart, because we cant get on the same server.
We took a free transfer off Herod in last hope to avoid large que( it’s an issue for players that get off work and wont be able to make raid time because of 1-5hour que). That said nobody specified anywhere that this decision is irreversible and that we will end up on a server with population 350ppl(aliance side) prime time. None of us enjoy an empty server and having our characters stucked on it was just devastating. Half of guild rerolled from scratch and second half is still in tears.
I urge you Blizzard please introduce paid transfers so we can all play happily with friends on a server that we choose and we can escape servers that don’t fit us. This game is all about creating friendships and going on adventures with your friends. For past couple weeks I seen more friendships being destroyed and dealed with more drama then ever before.
Together with character transfer I am as well an advocate to include the option of character name change, simply because it’s an option that should be in the game.
Last, but not least, please remove spellbatching artificial lag is not an enjoyable mechanic. Especially for healers this game is a nightmare, within the first week I saw way too many “heals land” and target still dies as well swapping between characters while healing is utterly slow sometime u gotta wait a second to know that heal is actually going to land on your new target and wont apply still to the previous one. Another good example is using any kind of silence/cc to interrupt a spellcast, with spellbatching you have to cast/use such a mechanic much earlier then you would usually do. In general just a terrible mechanic that makes game unplayable/unenjoyable especially for healers.
That said you guys did create an incredible re-creation of my(and many others)favorite game. And I truly appreciate the work that has been put in to realizing this project. I have been fighting for classic servers for 10+ years now. Please do us all one last favor and listen to the feedback, so all of us can enjoy the game with friends, because that’s what really matters.
