Can we please get some sort of factual update as to the plans of some of the dying SoM servers. Jom is the go to place it seems and as server population dwindles more are just rerolling Jom. Can you please give us an idea you have as to how you want to help fix the issue whether it’s a transfer or a merge please?
Soon. Definitely, maybe soon.
not with the holidays coming…
Jom best server
It won’t happen. It would interfere with “server firsts.”
I rerolled on Jom and so can you.
Aye I am, leveling my druid as we speak. Trying to get rank 11 on my Warlock as well, 10.36 atm so not too far off.
I also would really like transfers to be implemented. I am 60 with full pre raid bis, fully enchanted, epic mounted, max engi, max mining, full raid consumes ready to go, fully attuned and my server is dead, dead, dead. My only option right now is to wait until the very few people that are here all level up to be able to finally raid, or reroll and start from scratch. Neither of the two current options are appealing to me, although rerolling and starting from scratch may be faster than waiting for 40 people on my current server to get to a point of being raid ready. At this point, I would pay double for a transfer.
its gonna happen, its free money.
Free transfers should be allowed off Jom Gabbar to ensure a more even population spread. Otherwise open paid transfers will surely kill off the other two pvp servers.
With the small populations, everything should just merge to Jom Gabbar and Shadowstrike anyway.
“Update” would indicate they’ve said something about tranfers for SoM in the past.
They haven’t.
I have a feeling we won’t be getting transfers for SoM.
Might want to reroll.
The percentage of people who would take this transfer is too small to have any impact.
People don’t move back to the farm after they’ve been in the big city.
Close all servers and force everyone to Jom gabbar and Shadowstrike. That is how many servers are needed for the current population. 1 of each type. No more than that are needed. Of course, this does not make any money for Blizzard. So instead, open up paid transfers for two months, then merge all the servers. You still get to make your money off people like me.
Last night while sitting in IRONFORGE (nope, not SW) on my way to Gnomer I saw so many 60’s on Mutanus that I did a quick /who for 60’s there. The number was 29 (again, inside IF itself). It was around 7pm server time (give or take an hour). Is this not a healthy number for a game that is just over 3 weeks old? Our server seems fine. Sure, you could merge it with Nightfall, but to merge every PvP into Jom is just silly.
how is a 10 sec /who number indicitave of the health for a server? Maybe that was a half cocked MC raid flying to SG … and they only had 29 60s to raid with.
Im not saying its dead, but your example is about as useful as if saying… well mutanus could be really healthy cause i have this cat in my house that only meows on saturdays.
Do you get the correlation now? There was a 60 complaining about no one else being at 60. I was just pointing out that on our server that isn’t true. Why does every damn server have to have 900,000 people on it to be healthy?
i mean im not gonna fixate on the 900,000 number… but boy its a MMO. If you saw 29 60s good for you. That said, there is no indication that this means its alive.
I get your point, but this game is just a graveyard with anything less than 1k players per servers. And even 1k is really really low. So your 29 ppl spotting of 60s isn’t really helping to determine wether the server is a gy.
I know you mean well, but im just sayin… maybe do an actual census and not just a 10 sec one time /who to figure out whats what.
I understand what you are saying too. We of course don’t want it to go under 1k, and so some form of merging makes sense. I was just saying that 1 server pvp and pve is to little, at least leave one per coast.
I know the 29 number is purely arbitrary, I was just completely surprised how many there were there in one place – in the end, it’s the number of 60’s that determine raiding viability, not the number of lowbies. I’m not a big fan of layering, so I try to pick the second largest server, not the largest.
I ran three dungeons last night (level 36 currently) and could have ran a fourth but I was just tired lol. So, so far it still looks good. But, like you said, that could change if everyone were to move/quit.
Literally everyone told you all this before launch
We provided discord numbers and everyone laughed and said “LOL discord members blah blah blah”
You were warned. You refused to listen.
