There already are many, many posts about the state of BM, MM, and SV hunters heading into Shadowlands. I will not hash out the numbers and what folks are asking Blizzard to do regarding our beloved specs, but I do hope that this finds someones eyes at Blizzard.
Everyone has their own opinions as far as what needs to be tweaked and changed for hunters, and some ideas are warranted and amazing and others are just folks complaining over nothing- but there is something that can be said that everyone has in common.
Survival hunters are in a bad spot PVE wise and everyone overall can see this. Blizzard, you guys really need to step it up and look into this. This many paying costumers cannot be wrong about this one spec.
We all could be surprised and maybe there will be some tuning that drops from now until the end of September, and I hope that is the case here, but this many people cannot be wrong about this one spec, right?

No class in the game has 3 specs as gutted, uninspired, and boring as hunter right now.

Alot of classes and specs in this line and here I thought blizz was going to increase communication to the playerbase. Monks dps and heals specs in similar place if not worse and demo locks and druids in general. But yeah bm needs tweaking and Surv needs a rework. Talents need baseline or fixes to be options. Regens an issue hunters mark on the GCD needs changing the arcane shot vs serpent sting seems weird. So many classes feel left in the pool to drown…

That’s because at first they said there will be no big reworks. Then it became too late. They realized that some classes and specs were in dire need of them. If they hadn’t spent so much time on the damn covenants, they may have been able to have a whole bunch of time and resources to focus on actually fixing the classes and specs. Now that they only have 2 months left, which is obviously too soon, they’re trying to rush everything and most likely will end up leaving some classes or specs in the dust for yet another expansion, because they don’t do reworks in the middle of an expansion. So unless they come up with some kind of miracle, you can expect another lackluster expansion of a terrible nonfunctional spec. I’m optimistic, but they’re running out of time quickly. Prepatch could end up hitting anywhere in the next 2-4 weeks since prepatch is usually 4-6 weeks.

Yeah, I tried MM and it felt actually worse than on live. Is that even possible?
Hunters mark has to be my breaking point now, it’s a worthless stupid ability on a gcd. Is feels bad to press, it feels bad you get gimped in aoe for not having it applied one target at a time, it feels bad you have to pop it pre pull to make it sorta work… target switching? Yeah it’s so fun having another gcd, especially one that Requires you to use it or else say goodbye to damage, yet interrupts what little flow you have.
Still have stupidly long casts, still have rapid fire. I’ll level mine to max, but I won’t be maining it for anything. Blizzard, MM is complete and utter crap.
I wish so much development time wasn’t spent on creating system(covenants) upon system(soul bonds) upon system(conduits) upon system (legendaries) just to Have to go back and try to balance those systems constantly. I’d much prefer if they cut a couple of the layers and just fix the classless and core game.
