Hey Blizzard,
I appreciate the effort in updating Warbreaker’s animation, but the current version on the PTR feels underwhelming. The spinning motion just doesn’t have the same weight and impact that made the old Warbreaker feel so satisfying.
The previous version had a powerful, explosive feel, something that truly matched the strength of the ability. The new spin, on the other hand, feels more like a flourish than a devastating attack. Instead of enhancing the animation, it makes it look weaker.
Please consider replacing the spin with something more impactful, something that conveys the raw power Warbreaker should have. A more direct, forceful strike would better match the ability’s fantasy.
We appreciate the updates and the chance to give feedback. Hopefully, this can be adjusted before it goes live.

Whats sad is there are so many great examples in other games with warriors/berserker type classes that wield huge two handed swords to use for inspiration here and we got nothing close to that.
I’m totally for updating warrior animations to make them more interesting and feel good to play but like you, myself, and many others have been repeating since the moment they updated this spinning animation - this ain’t it chief.

I’m honestly not thrilled about updating the animations at this point, esp. after the 11.0 arms animation changes.
I love the Bladestorm animation and don’t want it touched.
Odyn’s Fury’s animation depended on Titan’s Torment to make it look impactful. I liked the old version of Titan’s Torment. The mini Avatar tied to Odyn’s Fury is what made Odyn’s Fury feel like it was impactful animation wise. Odyn’s Fury not being impactful to hit is a tuning problem, but there’s an animation missing aspect as well because I don’t get the mini Avatar animation that I liked to see when I pressed Odyn’s Fury.
I don’t really like icons above my head or the mob’s head, especially as a warrior. For an example, spell reflect as a ghost shield above my head does not feel right. Ghost items as part of an animation feel wrong to me as a warrior, and I want them almost never used on my DK either. I wish I had a better idea. Maybe a weapon animation that blocks the attack (or, for prot warriors, lifting their shield to block the spell).

Yes, the warbreaker animation change was a huge downgrade in my opinion. Even with all the adjustments, the original one is still better
