RMT existed then too, just not to the absurd levels we have now. It just wasn’t enough to make GDKP make sense. We have never played this game without RMT / gold farmers.
GDKP makes plenty of sense without RMT. All items prices goes down, the cost of consumes goes down, enchants down, gems down. 15k pot and its the best gph in the game for 1-2 hours of effort.
What percentage of the in-game gold do you believe was generated by gold farmers?
I can list my number, you can list yours and we both wrong. Lets stick to arguing actual factual points
We won’t ever know the actual number. I’m just curious how you can possibly believe what you believe. You can give me your number and we can agree to disagree.
I’m pretty confident that it easily exceeds 90%.
I can believe what I believe because if RMT was enforced it is actual fact that -
The bidding prices for gear would lower - this actually invites more players to the buyer pool because its more affordable to the average casual player
The cost of gems, enchants and consumes go down
The alternative to doing old raids would be doing them for free, being subject to sr and hr rulesets or rolling a 4 and the person whos dead last in performance rolled a 5 and you leave with nothing
The best gph outside of gdkp right now would only take a 15k pot to beat. Wouldnt even need glaives or ashes to drop to hit that target every week
Now lets see your factual counterpoints, not speculation or opinion
I guess you just want to avoid the question then. Everything you are saying is an opinion based on an opinion of what I’m asking and you don’t want to think about it.
Its not opinion based, those things would actually happen.
You guessing 90% is nothing but opinion and speculation
You literally have nothing to base your 90% estimate on
Those are your opinions. These are my opinions. We can agree to disagree on our opinions, but trying to present your opinions as fact is disingenuous and pointless.
That sums up all of his posts.
Your opinion is a bit of an exaggeration though, lets be real.
Dailies change the gold generating game immensely. I already showed how a player with a handful of alts can bring in a cozy 3k a week from hardly any effort.
im gold capped on 2 toons… never bought gold before.
It is a fact that if the populace has less gold then the goods and services will be cheaper.
It is a fact that the alternatives to gdkp is ms>os, sr, hr and /roll
It is a fact that the lower the prices that gear is being bidded for welcomes players with less gold
It is a fact that the best gph in the game right now is 450gph and it would only take 15k for gdkps to be the best gph
It is a fact that you have nothing to base your 90% from
Do you think gold farmers are ignoring this method of making gold for some reason if it is that easy?
Its more likely gold farmers are doing both, because you know, you can only raid an instance once per week
Mind blowing i know
Dude, you seriously need to find a hobby.
For comparison, I quit retail a little over 2 months ago. During that time I leveled a mage, lock and hunter to 70 in tbc. Casually doing sunwell dailys at max level and a kara or grulls here and there. Im at 14k gold. If you have been playing this whole time and selling things on the AH I imagine you have a lot of gold.
lol

Own is right on this, rmt for gold buying can and should be taken care of but GDKP as a loot system is not going anywhere.
Honestly, if they really wanted to get RMT’s under control they’d just cap your account to 10k gold.
