This is, at best, annoying, and quite often borderline infuriating. I put a lot of time into my action bars, and if I get a new ability, I want to be the one to decide where it should go. This isn’t “helpful”, it just jacks up all the bars for specs I don’t play as often, or “stances” I don’t spend as much time in.

The best is when they put the zone spells from legion on your action bars. Thanks Blizz, I almost forgot to keybind that one.

I’ve also seen it put passives on action bars… annoying. At least it doesn’t seem to be doing that right now? Or just not for all passives, lol.

I hate loading into the Dragon Isles and then see two new abilities I will never use suddenly appear on my bar (the treasure opening crap).

Once I got a message at the login screen that a low level character was eligible for upgraded gear. I thought, “cool!” and accepted it.
Unfortunately, Blizz in their infinite wisdom also decided to remove every ability and macro from ALL of my bars and replace them with random stuff everywhere.
I never accepted a gear upgrade again.

The way I look at things now is if it’s not in my OBR then apparently I don’t need it.

The long cds and random utility spells go on the action bar, while damage spells do not. Seriously, I do not need brez to be part of my rotation.

Not only that. Gear upgrade deletes everything in your bags and removes all quests and items also.
“Are you sire you want to continue without using your gear upgrades? This means you wont be eligible for it later”

I distinctly avoid Dragon Isles at this point, for this exact reason lol.
It keeps putting Anomaly Detection Mark I and Mechanism Bypass on my bars.
What’s funny is I don’t even remember using those in DF, not even once.
I had a Mechagnome that could unlock chests on their own, at the time.
I have more an issue with Blizzard flat out rearranging the damn thing. I usually do one month of WoW every few months, and every single time for some reason my action bars on my toons are all out of place
