The warglaive position on male night elves has been off since day one. Instead of being fixed to you back by the handles in the middle, like it realistically or by normal physics would be: one end of the warglaive is instead on your shoulder-blades and the rest dangles in the air over your head. It looks so bad I have never used them. Whoever decided to fix warglaives of azzinoth legendary to the characters actually positioned it slightly better, and they look good. Please take a look at this Blizzard. And fix for the new x-pac.
The first time I saw people running around with them (TBC) they looked like mandibles.
What is #2?!? The anticipation is killing me!
Imagine playing a demon hunter in a fantasy video game and talking about “normal or realistic” physics.
Imagine being able to leap in full plate and not break your legs when you crack the earth from 1,000 yards falling.
Really I only wear half plate so it’s okay and very realistic for me to do it.
I hate to break it to you, but there is no position they could put warglaves that wouldn’t look silly. Because Warglaves are a dumb looking weapon.
Just use swords like a sane person.
Dumb warglaive positioning is the price you pay for playing a Demon Hunter. Sort of a… sacrifice, if you will.
Oh you’re one to criticize. What have YOU given?!
Gust of wind
I am a mom nut, and visuals are super important to me. This is akin to the last clipping effect characters had to endure for 2 years before blizzard finally fixed it…
*edit, MOG nut, not MOM nut LMFAO
The Stag Beetle look.
Yeah, never liked it.
It’s not just male night elves… it’s that high up on female night elves as well… my DH uses the hidden artifact appearance for Vengeance for this very reason… the “shield glances” look far less awkward with the positioning than all other glaives…
That’s SL content, it will become available when 9.0 drops.
Haha I remember this rant the first day Illidan warglaves was up for mogging.
I like not sinking like a stone in full plate. Or chain for that matter.
I know I really feel the fantasy video game vibe when half my shoulder transmogs sit about 2 inches off my characters body.
Not worth fixing that either.
wanna know something crazy and several years later?
pop metamorphosis and then mount. you might be surprised
here’s an image showing what happens: imgur dot com/a/pFzuLhr
OP… OP YOU FORGOT #2! You can’t do this to us, OP WHAT IS NUMBER 2??
For real, though, I wish we have the option of choosing if they go on the back or on the hip. I mainly don’t use them because they’re all just so huge and I don’t like the way they rest on the back.
It was better left unsaid.
