That’s just the made up lore reason. Blizz can invent lore to fit any narrative they wish. They could just have easily have said that due to the black dragonfligt experimentation or curse or whatever maguffn you like, they can’t transform into a mortal shape.
No. There is no lore here. There is only gameplay realities.
Every dragon we know has a visage form. Alexstrasza’s is iconic. If they didn’t give them a visage form people would have asked why they didn’t.
You can cope about it like there’s this big conspiracy that even Blizzard doesn’t like the Dracthyr model, but I’m sorry if that narrative doesn’t hold up.
The dracthyr are not like the OG dragonfligt though are they. So that doesn’t gel with your lore either. My original statement is still very much valid. If anything, it makes more lore sense to deny dracthyr visage form due to said difference.
There is no conspiracy. There is simple logic and the reality of what the vast majority of the player base prefers.

You logic does not follow at all. Dracthyr are not like Alexstraza and co. There is no bedrock lore forcing them into such a fashion.
I do not require citation for what is obvious to anyone who plays the game. Everyone knows e.g. belves are the most popular horde race by far. To deny it is to be disingenuous.
I would also ask you to cite your sources that show that dracthyr should have visage form despite being a twisted experiment of the black dragon flight.
I would be fine with argonians tbh.

You’re right! It’s a fun flavor thing for the dragonkin race to do a thing we see dragons do as a cosmetic in town.
If they were really because Blizzard “knew it was a failed race”, you’d think they’d had already worked out the visage form in combat?

I didn’t really read all of the arguments in the thread but…I kinda like the androgynous dragon people. Their visage forms, not so much… I wouldn’t MIND if they had more masculine or feminine options because more customization is good, but I do like that they’re very similar in body composition regardless of choosing male or female.
You probably can ignore it, if they’re like the worsen. Just don’t shape shift into your visage form.
Honestly, probably would just be dumping extra money into Genshin (more than Welkin + pass, anyways) if I didn’t have people that still play WoW to do keys with.
As a real life female, I hate races that they make traditionally pretty. Seems terribly boring to me.

I would rather they do this as another body option, Blizz really needs to look into just adding body options for more races since I don’t think the game could support sliders.
Options would be nice. But I would flip a table, or MANY MANY tables if they just switched it to something akin to the OP.

Fully agree with that. I don’t understand why Blizz doesn’t add more body options for various races, Dracthyr could be one. I have already said they should do this for male Draenei as well, give them an option more akin to the male Sylvar.
I’m still not sure what being an MMO has to do with anything.
Having a non-refrigerator shaped body would be awesome… I agree.
