Blizzard, please allow artifact forms across specs

I don’t believe other classes are allowed, but a Druid’s Form is their entire “transmog”, not just a piece of gear. Since our artifacts affect our actual forms’ skins, I for one would appreciate it.

Being able to use my Mage Tower Cat skin as non-Feral would be great.

Why make druid special.

Just allow every class to use whatever artifact skin they want.

Totally opposed.

One of the worst things about Guardian is that every druid has bear form, and (especially in pvp), Resto Druid hot themselves up then sit there in bear form using bear abilities.

Then everybody comes and cries about “guardian druid so powerful they can heal themselves forever blah blah blah blah blah” and if you actually ask them about it, you can definitively point out “um, dude, yeah, that was a resto druid”.

I do NOT want resto druids pretending to be Guardian any more than they already are. If they want to take Guardian affinity and gain access to almost our entire toolkit (which is, itself, ridiculous), then they need to do it in the regular skin so at least SOME people might realize that isn’t actually a tank druid.

I seem to remember from one interview a while back that they were considering selectively allowing cross spec usage of Legion artifact skins where it fit the theme. I think the example given was for priests, but it appears to have been forgotten about.

Yeah I’m good with this. I just want to be able to mog different weapon skins when using artifact forms (I do like to look good in humanoid form too)

Wut?

Pretty sure you can literally just hover over them and read their spec…

Want the forms off the weapons but only for said spec.

Feral forms for feral druids as an example. Other druids like Guardian need to use Guardian forms. To free them for all specs would be really confusing on what spec a certain Druid was.

So they need to free the forms off the weapons but still keep them for each spec.

Also like to see more color options for Moonkin form. Resto could get more tree forms. Say Palm Tree as an example.

I just want us to be able to mog the cat/bear forms without changing our weapon.

The claws would look terrible with my guardian mog, but I don’t want to be a super boring bear either.

Exactly what I’m talking about, so many good mogs ruined by daggers and or claws.

Druids can’t even dual wield so it makes zero sense to be forced to use something we don’t actually use.

Please Blizz Free the forms off those weapons.

They just need to bind the form mog to a ring so I don’t need to have the stupid daggers.

No, they should remove it from transmog totally, like it was in Legion. If we want to use a Legion form, we should go back to our class hall and change it there. We still have the teleport spell, after all.

Putting Legion druid forms on the transmog system was dumb in the first place.

Problem was the forms could only be used with the artefact weapon…

They had to go in and change it to put it in the transmog system, if they’re going to have to go in and change it, why not just tie it to our forms instead?

They went and did a bunch of work for a system people don’t like, and we TOLD them far in advance that we didn’t like it. They went and did it anyway. And here we are still complaining about it, because Blizzard didn’t listen. Again.

They already had the template for this: Warlock green fire. Is it part of the transmog system? No.
Once a Warlock unlocks green fire, how do they change it back and forth? They talk to an NPC.
Once a Druid unlocks a Legion shapeshifting appearance, how should they change it back and forth? By going to the artifact forge. It’s that simple.

This, 100%. I love going back to the class hall (Druids had the best one anyway).

I would dearly love to use a non-standard cat form on my Resto Kitty.

I can see the argument that non-standard forms should be reserved for their respective specs, but I’m not sure it holds up when Feral and Guardian use the same forms as all Druids by default. Heck, if you haven’t unlocked them in Legion, you don’t even have access to non-standard forms no matter what your spec is.

Spec should be unlocked to be used with out the weapons. But I don’t feel a Resto could use the feral forms or bear forms. That would lead to confusion in the pvp side.

As we know this game is balanced around PVP so I for see this being flat no go 5000.

That said, I see no reason a Feral or Guardian druid should be bound to those weapons that ruin so many transmogs its not even funny.

Sweet fire red mog, solid Feral form that is red, come back to none form mode and boom NEON GREEN daggers . . lame. So please Blizz fix that and free the forms off the weapons for the specs that use them.

I like the daggers and claws. Maybe its because I wasn’t around for legion, and they they haven’t grown old on me yet. They go exceptionally well with my mogs and my Orb of the Sin’ Dorei.

It isn’t even about being new/old.

In Legion, I could mog my WoD Challenger 2H polearm over the claws, having any particular transmog look I wanted without having to impact the animal form skin which my bear used while in combat.

Now fast forward post Legion, and its a mutual exclusive decision.

For a non-druid, their decision makes sense as your combat look is in-fact your transmog look; they’re one in the same. But for Bears and Cats; that’s not how we used the system during Legion and its not how we wanted the system to work for us post-Legion either.

Honestly, they simply should have given us an NPC to talk to in order to get our bear/cat form and not tied it to the artifact weapon; that would have allowed our animal form choices to co-exist with whatever transmog choice we wanted to make.

If that means you enjoy the claws/daggers, be my guest. If you don’t like myself, be fancy without compromising your hard earned bear/cat animal model of choice.

By this logic I shouldn’t be able to use the default skin while in feral spec because how they they tell I’m feral and not Resto or balance?

Resto/balance/guardian/and feral have had the same animals forms until legion. How is this all of a sudden a problem.

Usually people tell by the abilities you use. Is it breaking in PvP that I can’t tell by look alone if you are sub or assassin, frost or fire, affliction or destro, WW or MW? I don’t think so.
