The point of the fresh server is to level before wrath is released to be ready for release. Not to be released on the day wrath launches.

For a lot of people it’s more about actually experiencing the fresh server than going straight into Northrend. I wouldn’t mind getting the fresh servers up early either, letting people feel like they can take their time getting to cap and ready for actual Wrath content.

Mock away… Doesnt bother me. Leveling on a fresh server with everyone else on a even playing field will bring me a lot of joy.

August 9th seems like way to long.

They said they wanted to release them the same time as prepatch and August 9th is like 7 weeks.

I’d love them to start early but I’m biased. Teacher on summer break that ends August 8th; would have loved a little time on fresh servers before heading back to school. Ah well, still going to play when they come out and have a blast!

I think 6-8 weeks was in regards to the time of the XP buff going live to the launch of Wrath and not the length of the pre patch period itself.

Well that’s part of the problem. What happens after you and everyone else hits level cap? And the economy trends toward what the other servers’ economies look like?

People start asking for fresh servers again.

Yes and no.

If they add the SoM changes then people will certainly still make tons of golds but it won’t be the same level of degeneracy we see now in TBC classic.

You’ll have 90 days to enjoy your peaceful fresh server, so take it all in while you can.

The minute transfers are open, it will be no different than any other.
