For the past couple weeks since Season 2 came out my vault and drop chances have been absolute dog water on my main class (ret Paladin) and one of my alts (elemental shaman). Because of this i’ve thought about quitting if this is how the game is gonna go and i’ve done as much content as I can over the week when I work a steady 9-5 mon-friday.
There should be some bad luck gear protection for us, a reroll vault token to reroll the ENTIRE vault…SOMETHING!!!
I honestly don’t count on drops and just do everything I can to reduce my reliance on RNG as much as possible. Craft every piece you can, get the best pieces you can to turn into tier, form groups to farm certain items/dungeons etc.
Then just never expect to get anything otherwise, and you’ll always be pleasantly surprised.
Yeah honestly at this point, take what upgrades you can get. This is the slowdown wall. You’re maximizing heroic and taking slow myth upgrades. This is what is meant to be the final step before patch is over, and it’s fairly optional. You can do all the content in the game at your iLVL, the rest is just for extra oomph.
It’d be nice if the vault did not offer items that you already have (duplicates are truly useless & frustrating), but the vault IS the bad luck protection in Blizzard’s view. They think most of your gear should come from drops doing content (end-of-run Delver’s chests, end-of-run M+ chest, or raid boss-kills).
Yes ans no, there are pieces I need to target and its fristrating. For example on my ele shaman I need the hand axe from DFC and the shield from priory, ive been farming them for about 2 and a half weeks, religiously and not one drop of them for ANYONE not just myself, and thats for my ele shaman.
Still need the rescue keg on my pally which, good luck on that but I dont think blizzard adding a “Vault reroll token” released at the same time as you getting a Spark (so every 2 weeks) would be all that terrible
Me when i feel entitled to things. Everyone has equal chance at good or bad also dinars are gonna be out soon so stop youtlr bellyaching its just sad man. You sound like someone begging for attention.
Keep farming in the spirit of MMOs since their creation. If you eliminate the hard work, you eliminate the appreciation when you finally receive the item. It’s reasonable to complain about horrendous grinds and effort not befitting rewards, but gear is highly motivational. It’s worth running weeks to months to get the right piece.
They don’t owe you anything unless you have a signed contract saying they do. This is Contracts 101 in any law school. When you read the “Blizzard End User License Agreement (EULA)” word for word, before you clicked “accept”, do you recall seeing anything about them owing you “Back Pay” for bad vault drops?
To me this seems like common sense but I’m always surprised to find out that there are some people who … get this … don’t know that !!!
I desperately need a shield and a ring on my main, but this week was another set of bracers (only managed to get one delve slot full last week). Maybe next Tuesday, or I’ll get lucky on my bountifuls.
Thr vault in and of itself is bad luck as multiple peoppe across multiple characters have already stated that they have gone weeks without gettin ANYTHING of relevance towards the development of their character.
Idk about you but I dont have the kind of time of day to farm a single M+ dungeon for 16 hours a day looking for 1 piece of gear to drop that either A) I dont get or B) someone else wins and needs it.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with blizzard going “Alright sinc EVERYTHING and their mother is rng in our game including old mounts lets throw players a bone.” Having a token that allows you to reroll your entire vault a single time, having a maximum of 3 of these tokens and you get one every 2 weeks similar to catslyst charges isnt gonna break anyones bank.
You and the other people who responded to me sound like the kind of people who would walk out into the street at 2PM and argue that its night time just for the sake of arguing against people
