If you own the Auspicious Arborwyrm on Retail, you do not get it in Classic Cata. They expect you to pay another $25 for it.

I’m actually of the opinion that there should be no crossover whatsoever, i said it with the first classic servers, i said it with crap like Plunderstorm and i’ll keep saying it. No player, be it a retail or a classic player, should feel like they have to play some other game mode/version just to get something back on the mode they actually want to play.
I know it’s a different kettle of fish with mounts that are being sold through the store, and i can see how it would suck to have Blizzard try to sell you the same thing twice, but it is completely optional. I just don’t want to see one version of the game influencing the other in any way, probably an unpopular take, but it is what it is

Good thing I’ve zero interest in playing Classic Cata. Easily one of my most disliked expansions. I’ll stick with Retail and SOD.
The mount was a 3 month sub reward iirc, and it’s the same sub for retail and classic, so…that makes no sense to me lol

If their going to offer a subscription that is inclusive. Then micro transactions that provide something like a mount that works in both games should be an unlock for it all. If they want to start Nickle and Diming people then they need to split those clients into their own subscriptions as well.

They did a cross over mount with Plunderstorm and with the Wotlk Classic Delux Kalu’ak Whalebone Glider

Honestly, I’m more mad that I didn’t realize I had a free dragon mount of some kind on my wrath->cata classic character, and spent precious 80s on a dumb BE mount.
Except the Arborwyrm was in Classic already when people got it with their 6 month sub. Then it was deemed a “bug” and “fixed” and now they’re charging for it.

No, they’re saying if you get a 6 month sub that comes with a mount, it should work in all versions of the game.
Again, the Arborwyrm did work in Classic when people got it with their 6 month sub. Blizz removed it. Now they’re charging extra for it.

They should put it back if it was there before. That’s just their own fault if they messed something up.

I wonder how many buy the Classic Expansion bundles thinking you have to do so to play it… You always have to pay attention to what corporations are trying to sell you.
These are not crossover items, they are are not things earned in one mode then moved to another. This is like them saying you have to pay another sub if you want to play classic, Plunderstorm, or MoP Remix. I don’t agree with it because if you buy an item from the cash shop and they allow for it to be used in Classic and Retail you sure automatically get it for both versions.
