If you haven't heard of, very recently Blizzard has been sending emails to a lot of unsubbed players (maybe some subbed players too, not sure) asking for their feedback on BFA. Players have to answer a survey where they answer multiple questions about why they quit and what is wrong with BFA. They have also been asking people to do a 30 mins skype chat to talk about these questions.
I think this clearly shows that WoW has reached a peak record for the lowest subs ever, beating WoD 5M subscribers. In 14 years they have never done that. It shows that they are in panic mode and really want to get people back.

Remember when Ghostcrawler said Players didn't leave because of changes to the game but because of changes to their life and friends?
Strange how Blizzard got a new president and we immediately start seeing changes and Blizzard seeking feedback from players.
Well. I will say this.
At least they are trying. (took them long enough...)
That said, I hope they listen to said unsubbers views and don't shrug them off. As much as I dislike the 'im quitting' threads, a fair bit of them had reasonable concerns about the game that I couldn't rightly deny.

Now if only you changed to a lightforged once and for all.
I am looking forward to this email.
Wow. They're even offering to call you via Skype for 30 minutes to discuss the survey...
I hope we get to talk to ION!!!!!

Why is that strange? People in new positions often try to get an idea of the opinions of the people who affect them.10/25/2018 09:14 PMPosted by AdelphieStrange how Blizzard got a new president and we immediately start seeing changes and Blizzard seeking feedback from players.
I absolutely love this idea. It can only help. And it shows us that Blizzard actually cares (at least about the money).
Plenty of things are hurting the game and this is a great strategy to help fix what needs to be fixed.

Or... a new president is in position and is doing things differently...10/25/2018 09:17 PMPosted by Korraxe10/25/2018 09:13 PMPosted by Snowfox...
I just find it amusing we claim wow is dying because they don't listen to feedback.
Then we claim wow is dying because they made it easier to get feedback.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s good they are after feedback, but it’s obvious they aren’t out getting it bc subs are up. They have major problems, people are leaving in droves, and the fixes needed are literally at minimum pushing gameplay back to at least MOP to get people back, IMO.

how DARE blizzard actually seek feedback. How dare they.

Except for the fact that they didn't make it easier to give feedback. They actually took away the option to explain why you unsub when you unsub. if they cared for any reason that wasn't short-term profits, they wouldn't have taken it away in the first place.
I guess in about 25 days I will see if I get one too.

That was the problem with those well thought out unsub posts, rarely did anyone of them get any traction or counter arguments from the very same crowd that would flood the not so well thought out ones.
Their is a certain crowd on GD, I like to call them the Noisy Minority™.
They ask for constructive feedback...when there are threads with good content to constructive criticism, they are no where to be seen.
Bet my last dollar those very same Noisy Minority™ will be the first posters to a " BlZz SukZ I;m UnSub "

Glad to see somebody pointing out the elephant in the room.

This so much, these fixes are a bare freaking minimum. I have been saying for a while that this expansion was going to be lack luster because of the divide in staff to work on classic as well as creating two entirely seperate campaigns for the Horde and Alliance.
He’s not wrong though.10/25/2018 09:22 PMPosted by Ghuldokk10/25/2018 08:55 PMPosted by MagalokuI think this clearly shows that WoW has reached a peak record for the lowest subs ever

Nobody looks for feedback when things are going well.

Please. If they lost a few thousand subscribers it wouldn't be noticed and they wouldn't give two craps about their feedback. They lost a ton of people or they wouldn't be setting up skypes.
Me personally, I am not going anywhere just yet. While I get a bit bored because all I have left are raids and world quests, I still have fun with my little casual group trying our best to kill some bosses. At the same time I am not burying my head in the sand. This expansion has big problems and they lost a lot of people.

A big problem with Blizzard is they have claimed to be listening but they haven't. Looking at the state of BFA and (what most likely is) the current sub count, they haven't been listening. And now they are. FeelsGoodMan

Cant tell trying to be sarcastic or White Knight. But to be a little over 2 months into an expansion and sending out emails like this.... I would wager to say that sub numbers aren't healthy.
But yes it's good that they're trying to get feedback... hopefully it will help cuz I actually do enjoy playing this game but not so much now.
