Blizzard needs to give us more water walking mounts

In a world of “no flying” (I hate not being able to fly), I’m tired of seeing water striders everywhere. Give us more options.

For instance, why didn’t you make the new Hivemind mount water walking/water swimming? Missed opportunity.

Also, did you guys increase the damage in the “Underfoot” quest? Jeez.

I think Blizzard regrets giving us water walking mounts. When they can get around to it, they’ll release an expansion with literally no water so that they can remove them without anyone noticing.

I agree…at the least pathfinder 1 should allow all flying mounts waterwalk. But other mounts should have cool abilities, like spiders being able to climb, mechs having jump boots, anything to differentiate the effort put into getting a particular mount.

I am trying to figure out models that make sense for water walking. Casting a spell (shaman or dk) that lets your wolf mount or elekk walk on water is one thing, but just having random models that can for the simple sake of variety is not a great idea.

MUH IMMERSION

Just my two cents. So we need models that actually make sense (and the boat should be a water walking mount).

Any mount is a water walking mount if you’re a dk or shaman.

How about letting some flying mounts glide/fly over the surface of the water?

Isn’t your immersion ruined when a giant dragon who can fly everywhere else in the game just falls off the side of a cliff without even attempting to flap his wings?

I’m going the boring one here but it appears clear to me that water walking should have never been a thing.

Why have water at all if “everyone” is going to use a mount that bypasses it ?

For the same reason people have boats in real life. For the people who like to swim, let them swim. For the people who prefer to travel at a faster pace on the surface of the water… here’s a boat.

I’ve figured it out, about the water walking mounts:

The reason why new ones are not water walking, is because ALL of them would be “easier” than getting a Water Strider mount.

The Water Strider mounts are basically time sinks. I got both, for the first time, in Legion at a time gate with the Legion content. So my main hunter went back and started working on BOTH at the same time.

The Panda one was finished first, then I worked on the Draenor one for a couple more weeks before getting it. I had the Legion fishing pole, filled up enough that it had the stuff like lower aggro, water walking and shark form. This made the Draenor one easier and more fun.

But if you could just get some big boat, for a six month sub, or the Hive mind and either had water walking:

That would be easy, at least way easier than getting either strider mount from scratch.
