Seriously, if you want a challenge play mythic or classic wow.
LFR should include cheat codes like invulnerability tokens available on the shop.
So sick of some clown pulling a bunch of stuff and wiping our group
Determination will fix it.
And kicking disruptive players.
oh…great…another LFR hate thread…just what we needed.
I tend to run out of votekicks before Brazil runs out of WoW players, sadly.
Isn’t determination basically a cheat code? Just wipe 3 or 4 times and you’ve got it made. Or join a normal pug and make it easier on yourself.
I don’t think LFR works as a concept, if it’s supposed to be an entry point to get you a taste of raiding with a huge group of players, then it doesn’t do it’s job. Blizz may as well let the player solo it with NPCs so they can see the story. If anything I think LFR will discourage new players from attempting normal or heroics raids rather than allow them to use it as a form of progression.
… In the event if this is meant to be taken seriously, i’l leave these here just in case.

Who cares! That is not the objective of the game.
Pushing people into doing higher content should not be the objective of the game. The objective of the game should be to entertain people by providing content at various levels of difficulty that accommodates the greatest number of people as is practically possible.
In other words, People are able to decide for themselves what level is difficulty they want to pursue without being forced or coerced.
Yes that’s my point, I’m saying it discourages them from attempting the raid content. I think you’re misinterpreting my motive. I don’t want to force people to do content they don’t like. I don’t like all these difficulties on raids because I don’t think raids should be the largest source of content. The battle for Dazza’alor for example, uses the existing zone of Zuldazar. There’s no reason we can’t have that (and the bosses within) reused in interesting ways to tell the story on a smaller scale.
I believe the Horrific Visions content in 8.3 would be a good tool to replace LFR. Imagine a progression based system that’s applied on the raid map, turning it into a 1-5 player scenario where they get stronger over time and complete the story. It’s fun, story is progressed and you can choose to play with friends if you desire. Currently I don’t see anyone enjoying LFR it’s only really done because parts of the war campaign force you to do it and because there’s this weird argument that goes on forever about elitists vs casuals. Why gate this content in the format of a group of players zerging bosses? There’s plenty of ways blizzard could reuse the raid content, there are large, interesting maps and they mostly go to waste beacuse people raid them staring at bars on their raid frames and DBM mods, they study the floor at their characters feet more than the they do the textures in the room just to make sure they’re not standing in bad things. I propose stretching out beyond the mere raid content.
LFR is a cheat code
You do realize Mythic Raiding is more difficult then anything in classic? Are you just idiot?
I dont think so. Even when this game was the hot thing to play people who didnt want to guild up and raid just didnt do it. LFR makes it easy and quick and pain free.
If anything LFR does exactly what it was designed to do…get people who WONT raid otherwise to try it.
The only issue is there being 4 difficultys causing ilvl bloat. I wish we could just go back to MoP days where it was just the 3. But forreal though idm lfr cause i either just dont use it or use it for an extra chance for raid mounts.
I like this cheat code thing tho. Although id make it like the pvp brawl and have weekly shananigans. Like anti gravity or chance on hit to proc blood lust. Would make it interesting.
Calling classic difficult lmao. Oh yea the two button rotations and bosses with one mechanic are so hard.
That isn’t what it is for. It is really there to give a minor illusion of raiding while really just allowing people to get easy epics and access to the story.
It will? Starting when? LFR has been part of the game longer than it wasn’t.
People who want to raid already have access to it. If you’re convinced new players are so stupid that they can’t possibly figure that out, you wouldn’t be bringing them into your raid anyway.
I’m so sick of the welfare epics.
“Welfare epics”.
Feel free to scrap yours.
Everything anyone gets for playing the game is a participation reward to encourage them to continue playing. Yours are no exception. Remove your reward and you’d stop playing.
If purple font color is your issue, get over it. The color is meaningless. It’s the stats that matter.
There were certain bosses that were actually difficult in LFR during MoP and Cata. I think it was more of a stepping stone that way, but Blizzard listened to players and slowly nerfed the rewards from LFR which meant having to nerf the difficulty as well.
In MoP, I still had to watch some videos or read the dungeon journal. In Legion, I could wing it, and since the rewards for LFR in BFA are not that far off from what I can get doing Naz dailies, I haven’t even bothered this xpac and watched all the story on Youtube.
