There were a few.

Most notably the revelation that his rating was, indeed, below average.

Toxic people who start flaming instead of trying their hardest to win have low self-esteem and are scared because they don’t REALLY know what they’re doing. And, so, they just project, which is the typical 5 y/o tactic: “No, u”. It’s laughable.

How are those holy buffs working out for you lol

Yeah, and most of this is a community issue, but I think blizzard can and should be more transparent.

That being said, even when they are, people will reject a truth that doesn’t fit their narrative.

Blizzard made a blue post saying that there was no mmr cap and no deflation, just fewer people playing so there was less inflation at the same point in the season and people FREAKED out and didn’t believe them XD

It’s not reasonable to blame players for the culture created by WoW’s design choices.

Most “toxicity” from players is because players who are frustrated by one of two things:
-People with purchased titles and rating are thrown into their games without earning their spot, either automatically or by brandishing an achievement they didn’t earn.
OR
-Players who aren’t ready are thrown into matches above their skill level, effectively throwing someone who can’t swim into the ocean and telling them good luck. It feels bad to lose when one of your teammates should never have been in the match in the first place.

Those two things are up to WoW to resolve. Until WoW resolves the toxic culture they created, the toxic behavior will continue and worsen. You can’t ban it away, as much as WoW is currently trying to do so. All trying to ban it away does is create more anger and frustration, malicious compliance, and even worse behavior over time.

Not believing the WoW team is a trust thing. There used to be a lot higher trust between the players and the team working on the game. It can be built back with good communication, but it’ll take a lot of time.

100%. This has been one of my biggest asks of blizzard for a while.

Some basic transparency and communication!

You need to learn how to stop lashing out at people to make yourself feel better.

If you take a look at what the huge ban wave did to people that remotely minorly flame has done to player numbers this shouldn’t happen again. Players are at an all time low and there is a pvp and pve participation crisis because of it.

With all due respect I think you just need to grow a backbone. I mean you all are just going to report yourselves and the game into extinction at this rate. You all sure talk tough but when it’s thrown back at you,you become fragile as glass and hit a report button.

nah these people rebuy the game
its basically just a sub tax

zero proof btw just my guess. cause no one actually quits wow. also on moonguard goldshire some ppl were talking about how long their current account was active while being toxic

Banning people for words is soy and liberal :man_shrugging:
