Blizzard missed a great chance to squeeze in Warcraft 4

Our characters are in the shadowlands and Warcraft 4 could have told the story of what’s happening on Azeroth in our absence. The big thing is the Scourge is unleashed and is tearing things up. During this time maybe Turalyon and Genn reclaim Gilneas. Set up a home for the night elves. All of this could have been in Warcraft 4 while telling a story without having to worry about our characters in it at all.

[Small Indie Company] can only make one good game at a time, sorry.

Honestly, I was hoping the mission table would do such a thing; keeping us up to date on the events in Azeroth as we issue commands and empower champions to act on our behalf.

They’re still not done fixing the damage they did to Warcraft III yet.

They honestly still can. They can potentially redo events in a RTS style while cramming new ones that we could possibly see in WoW going on.

Good chance next expansion will go over that.

You really want them to make WC4 after seeing what they did with WC3 Reforged?

The Ebon Blade opened portals to Orgimmar and Stormwind immediately after we escaped the Maw the first time, so I don’t think our characters are completely disconnected from Azeroth. Any expansion could be an acceptable setting for WC4 if the main concern is removing the PC, just say we were on Alternate Draenor, the Broken Isles, or anywhere future expansions take place.

warcraft4 from those people would be horrible

WoW has jumped so many sharks by now that creating a divergent but equally important story minus Sylvanas becomes Kerrigan plot armor is a tall order.

While I would love a Warcraft 4 I think the time of a blizzard RTS is behind us.

Sadly I agree. Just look at Warcraft Reforged

WC3 Reforged =/= WC4…

It was a POORLY DONE remake, unlike the FF7 Remake that Square Enix did… so we know by now, there are great remakes and then there are **** remakes…

Starcraft 2, on the other hand – at least compared to WC3 Reforged – was a GREAT game… I finally got to see Raynor and Kerrigan macking, even if it was just mental stuff and he was high / drunk the whole time…

If we got the same team who did SC2 to do WC4, complete with all the pre-mission NPC chatter, it would be a GREAT game… otherwise, yeah nope, especially if it’s from the scrap-together shoddy AF cheapo ring-a-ding-ding WC3R team…

Apparently, RTS games are not a game type with investment return in the range that activision blizzard is looking for.

Basically activision blizzard doesn’t think it’ll make as much money as other type of game.

Shadowlands reforged.
warcraft 3 - they lied
now this expansion they lied.
wow…

Warcraft 4 Should be set in the pre classic WoW Era along with Pre TBC Era of the Blood Elves and etc than WoW 2 Setting.
