So my friend walks by a fury warrior and blood DK dueling each other and just starts watching them, it goes on for a quite a while, so i decided to go too. I get there and someone duels me and we fight. After my duel the Warrior and DK are still fighting! More and more people start watching, and people start dueling. I turn my stream on cause I wanted to get the dk/warrior dueling because I thought it was fun. So duels start happening people start changing gear/talents and then BAM… Thank you blizzard you phase all of us away from each other so we cant interact or have fun! BFA IS AWESOME!! And this is a part of why I don’t bother talking to people in the chats or even doing ad hoc group things like this. At any second people will just disappear…hard to build a community when people are disappearing cause Thanos snapped.

They could replace 75% of the players with island expedition AI’s and nobody would notice. It’s pretty sad tbh

Sharding is fine to an extent. But people already in an area shouldn’t be suddenly phased into another instance of the place. Only new people logging on should be tossed in a new phase. There needs to be some serious tweaking of the system.

And CRZ needs to burn in the firey pits of Ragnaros.

So, because sharding is working as intended and ruined your show…you are mad?

You have no idea what was happening around to cause the phase…but…you still think it shouldn’t have happened…

Not to mention in some areas ive been in the game theres not even a general chat channel which makes everything feel lonely

Sharding sucks.

Make better servers that don’t lag out when 10 people group up in an area.

It’s supposed to be an MMO, I want to see people out in the world.

When they talked about merging and getting rid of servers people were upset. Sharding is the way to make old servers not seem dead. You just don’t like it because of arbitrary reasons. Sharding at least allows people on dead servers to have some sense of there being people out there in the world. That is it’s purpose. The only time sharding sucks is when you are farming something solo and you have many other people because then its competition.

How is having people literally disappear in front of you, and being phased in and out of areas arbitrary reasons?

You take three steps in any direction and the players behind you disappear.

Hell, when trying to kill faction leaders in PVP, you can get phased over mid-combat.

It’s awful. Just bite the bullet and merge the servers.

Yes this happens all to frequently. This software being used is garbage. We need better structure. I have an example.

I was doing the zandalari incursions last week on my main I arrive at the WQ for the caravan npc and loot treasure box at end. The wq didn’t populate. Next I see a group of people fighting they disappear. I finally open map and click on the wq incursion. I finally get in a group after vanishing three times. What gives? Are we to accept this beautiful Thanos Marvel gift???

We don’t like it for arbitrary reasons? Yeah, last time I checked this still isn’t a single player game (yet, anyway). I want to see more people, not less.

And, again, if sharding is supposed to help people see more people, why is it making people see less people? Pretzel logic.

Would say “just add them to group”, but I’ve been in party/raids where even the members phase onto a different shard.

I agree, sharding and CRZ needs to go ASAP. I’ve been in more than one fight where I end up having to redo it (sometimes more than once) cos of CRZ/sharding.

In my opinion, sharding/CRZ forces you to redo fights for no reason, it overloads CPUs and GPUs to the point of overheat and shutdown (even for laptops like mine which are specifically built for gaming), and it encourages bots and multiboxers.

CRZ/sharding needs to go and it needs to go fast. I’m tired of my laptop getting lag spikes every time phasing goes on, I’m tired of redoing fights I almost won, and I’m tired of my laptop popping up warnings about memory leaks or “WARNING: OVERHEAT” before promptly shutting down to prevent itself from catching on fire (or worse, laptop smoking to the point the smoke detectors above my workstation go off and I have to explain to the fire department and the alarm company that there is no emergency).

I was soloing a group elite for a WQ and had already been fighting the boss for a few minutes before some more people showed up.

Once the boss got to about 10% the boss and all the other people vanished.

Like wtf. I don’t care that they got credit but I did most of the work and didn’t.
