I prefer for your lack of imagination and use of in game mechanics to be on display for us to see. I like the idea of you having all the extra slack in the rope you need.
You want me to imagine things that have no practical basis in the game. Generally when a person doesn’t know what they are talking about, they refuse to talk about anything specific. And just make vague statements. As loudly as possible.
Because this is apparently how the racial will be abused in m+. And how its completely broken. A tank occasionally saving his healer 1% of his mana is not a huge deal.
I mean…He’s not wrong.
Your statement assumes that simply leaping away is going to give the tank 2+ seconds to heal with (as the racial breaks on damage)
So yes, the healer can play some catch up during that time.
Yes it is going to be at a mana cost that the racial negates, but it is still there.
I guess if the situation is “the entire group is taking massive AE damage, all the AE damage stops, and the warrior leaps away to get at least 3+ seconds of a channel off, while the healer uses group heals that ignore the tank” could be a valid scenario. A weird one, that is incredibly rare, though.
I just dont see that as game breaking. Compared to how strong many other racials are in the game. A 3 second channel basically puts it on par with what…the Draenei racial? But makes it a ton more risky/complicated to use.
With all the remarks about it being abused, breaking m+, etc, I just expected something a but more.
If people are only using it for ~3 seconds, then if anything, it could be considered worse than the draenei racial.
Dreanei, Gift of the Naaru I think it’s called.
A heal over time racial that was insane and and had to be hotfixed. So lets go with this…
Blizzard: “Lets make a super OP racial for the Dreanei that can make them fully heal themselves in 6 seconds… Definitely not going to be abused in PvP or PvE…For the Alliance!!!” (Note this one was able to be casted on other players not just yourself.
Blizzard again: “Oh no, that Blood Elfs Silence is beyond broken in PvP, even though Dreanei can fully heal themselves, or others in matter of seconds… Lets nerf the crap out of it and make it worthless…! For the Alliance!!!”
Guy that claims to actively play the game doesn’t understand that boss fights that separate players from the healer exist in the game and provide an opportunity where self healing adds huge value.
Guy that claims to actively play the game doesn’t understand that tanks can buy periods of time where they don’t take damage via kiting and movement abilities to allow of self healing.
Guy that claims to actively play the game doesn’t understand a fight exists where the healer HAS to heal a different target other than the party during the fight provides huge value to self healing.
Guy that claims to actively play the game doesn’t understand that a healer can die and the tank and rest of the party can salvage the attempt by buying enough time for spells like Soul Stone by kiting and self healing.
Agreed. Either you aren’t taking damage for up to 6s (in which case it isn’t game breaking outside of mana saving) or you are taking damage and the effectiveness is severely reduced.
I don’t think the cooldown should be as short as it currently is, however I also don’t think it’s as broken as people are claiming.
It, like other racials, are powerful in niche scenarios.
Plus that’s ignoring the fact that Blizzard has already made a blue post about nerfing it anyway.
Eh Draenei Gift of the Naaru hardly heals to full. I believe it is a 20% max health heal over 5s.
That said, it is also targetable so you don’t only have to heal yourself with it which grants it considerable benefit over something that is only a self heal.
You’re a heroic raider with virtually no PvP experience and limited M+ exposure. I don’t expect you to understand concepts like “outplay” and how to abuse in game mechanics. I just gave you many examples of how a single racial can be very impactfull in just a M+ environment, much less other forms of content.
You have yet to actually shoot down a single scenario posed in this thread or imagine a single one yourself. You are just a first time fan in a sports arena yelling at the players at this point.
Yeah, keep it in line sounds reasonable.
Zandi heals for more, can only be used on self and is broken by damage.
Draenei heals for less, can be used on any friendly target, can be cast through damage.
