Because they split the Battlegroups into West Coast/East Coast so there’s less of a pool to pull from.
That’s what I’m guessing they’re saying. But I don’t see any threads about 19s/29s/39s/49s etc; talking about queue times or anything. So who actually knows?

That’s pretty much it. Off peak times are by far the worst affected
We haven’t had a pop for about 4 hours on east or west in 29’s. We would have a game going during these times but splitting the player base in half stops this.
The big servers for horde and alliance are on opposite battle groups and we had a day’s warning.

Same here; it’s been 3 hrs 15 mins so far in EC 40’s.
By way of example, during prime time yesterday for Level 19 Alliance US West queues, it was about 11 minutes, whereas before, it was about 1 minute.
Non-prime time, I expect the queues to have skyrocketed.
It’s really a big blow. People will quit, further impacting queue times causing an eventual death spiral.

You would have a pop to play low level bgs but who would guess that people leveling would rather not play the game than get farmed by sweaty neckbeards exploiting high level enchants on BiS bracket gear.
