I’ve been farming the 100 exalted reputations for the last three years, I’m a casual dude who works a lot n’ I set my end-all be all to the game to get that mount that less than 1% of players have. Well today while helpin’ a guildee out, they got the Ascended Skymane.
Bro.
Why make such an easy to get mount look like one that takes such hard work to get. What heads am I gonna turn when everyone thinks I’m running around on a 100% drop rate mount.
The amount of pride I had buildin’ up, and y’kno, I was worried when y’all brought the dreamrunner out but I was like ay, it’s all good. But this? It’s his 100% drop rate twin, it just feels so meaningless. I literally feel compelled to play another game now, like forget setting a new milestone

They are still quite different once you get past the white part.
However, at a glance, you probably wouldnt be able to tell which one it was.
All that really matters is if you like it.
I know you probably dont want to hear this but it isnt 2006 any more. No one cares what mount you ride. I promise, no one was ever going to look at you with envy unless they were working on the mount too

Because the reward he gets for such hard work is similar to another reward much much easier to get.
His complain is pretty legit tbh Blizz is very good at devaluating rewards by making recolors.

The mount is… literally a recolor of a mount with a half-dozen other recolors though.
OP’s complaint literally doesn’t mean anything honestly. Any mount collector worth his or her salt knows exactly what the Pureheart Courser is and will respect the living daylights out of anyone insane enough to attempt to get it.

Mount collectors will know the difference, and those are the ones who would respect you for it anyway. The rest of the population will just see a random courser running by them. Get your mount, you deserve it!

Sorry, i guess what i meant to say is no one ive ever encountered but battlemaster cares what mount you ride.
Unless its a store mount. People sometimes take issue with that online

No, they didn’t.
Sure, a similar reskin of that mount exists, but it’s not ‘that’ mount, and you’ll have the personal satisfaction of knowing that you did the work to get that mount.
What someone else has, that is not you, really shouldn’t matter to you. I’m sure there are thousands of players out there with the Ascended Skymane mount, but that doesn’t change the fact that you got the 100 exalted reps mount and those players likely don’t have it due to the amount of work required to get it.

Yeah I also grinded that mount in BfA. I don’t care that much but it is my paladin’s main mount and it stands out a lot less now.
