One of my friends that I play with for few moved to US maybe 2-4years ago, and saw him playing wow on laptop once at work. So we started to play together. In all conversations he has allot knowledge about game, mechanics of previous expansions but yet he started to play in BfA. Then he explained me that he played on EU servers when he was in Europe and showed me his original account from EU. I was stunned that blizzard couldn’t help him to transfer anything from old account. All those one time rewards , which I think are stupid to be locked like that , mounts and stuff made my hearth cry.
He changed because the time difference , so he can raid and make new friends. But that is just sad to see lose something like that. I know it’s just a game but he has probably nice memories. Dude has even Black -qiraji mount from that quest line and every mage tower appearance for every class

Jurisdiction problem. Which branch would take care of these region transfers? US? EU?
Ideally they’d work together and sync their data but we both know that’s not going to happen.
I mean it’s same company. Usually when a company with same name has different branches trough the world they all belong to original company , and have their main distribution address next to the current one. If you know what I mean. Still when you check blizzard website on EU server , it says company origins are in US, but their EU address is “insert address here”
So should blizzard do that, especially since it’s just a game
They might consider doing it for money, just make the case that tons of people would pay for a region transfer and they might make your wish come true.

I know in China, NetEase handles WoW, but it’s not like that in other countries.
FFXIV is working on implementing this feature. Maybe Blizzard will take a note.

He showed me couple tickets , and he says that he is willing to pay per character for both sides just to get stuff transferred. I’m like dude you’re crazy … I was crying more about his account then he when I saw his stuff

Was he from Germany by chance? I knew someone from Germany that this sounds familiar.
He is close somewhere , but i didn’t think he is from Germany. But he can speak German for sure. Maybe it’s the same person
it’s not exactly unfair, everyone in the same situation is treated the same way.
that’s about as fair as it can get.
the databases have nothing to do with each other, and no way to communicate with each other… just because someone wants a thing, doesn’t mean it can happen.
lots of people want this, but it’s technically not possible right now… maybe at some point in the future that could change, but just because something can’t be done, doesn’t make it unfair… just annoying.
I live in EU and refuse to make an EU account for this reason, but I have two very good friends I could play with. I just can’t give up the cool stuff and memories I have.
In US I also have tons of friends and an amazing guild, but with time zones it’s just hard to show up for content.
I wish I could move at least one character with my mogs achievs, or give us option to go to international servers. It’s not like I’m not currently mismatched by zone already.
