Blizzard is missing a huge opportunity with flying by NOT selling it

Let me explain how they can be making bank and making players play more in the process.

Everyone wants flying to be sold, but they forget how expensive epic flying is to buy. These are the prices I would do if I were Blizzard.

Normal flying : 100k
Epic flying : 500k

With this, people who really want flying but can’t afford it would have to buy tokens which gives Blizzard money or play the game to farm gold which gives Blizzard money. Either way it is a win win for both players and Blizzard.

You get to keep those who do not like ground for months and get them to either play more or spend real money.

Um, I’m not the best at making money, so the current plan of playing the game that already exists and building up rep is perfect for me.

If you set it to 100k/500k, myself and many, many others will never be able to fly.

Terrible idea/10.

That’s fine. Flying is a luxury, either pay up or farm the gold. Honestly 100k can be farm in a week just doing the WQs and farming old raids.

I wouldn’t mind if they did this. I probably wouldn’t ever fly though.

I’d rather buy it with gold. The dailies are so boring that I find it hard to slog through them.

They’d lose a lot of people who would rather quit than switch to gold farming as their end game.

Nothing is as lucrative as it was back an expansion or 2 or 3 ago.

If by “honestly” you mean “this is not true”, perhaps.

Oh yes, huge gold sinks to gate off flying will certainly work… no one would ever harshly criticize that and accuse Blizzard of making the game pay to win by ensuring the gold sinks are only obtained resonably by token selling…

Did you play let’s see Vanilla, TBC, Wrath of the Lich King… because flying (or mount training) I will assured, adjusted for inflation would be at least around 1.2 million gold, but yes… pay to win. LOL.

I’m unsubscribing if token fiends get access to essentials quicker than I do naturally.

This is why pathfinder is good.

Tell that to the millions who are quitting because they can’t just buy flying

They can go, they’re bad for the game.

There was nothing wrong with the TBC/Wrath model. Flying wasn’t an issue until Blizzard made it an issue.

Flying in Draenor should probably cost 1000g, in Legion 3000g and in BFA 10000g that way you could buy them all with a fresh toon on a new side. I currently have I think 18000 gold after completing 2 zones in BFA and part of the third and I just started Alliance on this server with this toon.

You say that, but if the forums are any judge, flying is the only thing that makes this game even remotely playable and forcing people to go without it is some kind of crime against humanity.

If flying is a luxury, than you should accept the fact that you can either grind the rep or go without.

Gold became too prevalent. Pathfinder is a perfect way for everyone to work toward something equally.

Not everyone and I wouldn’t like that.

PF is okay, it just takes so long to implement PF2. I wish they’d just do it earlier.

100k base flight toon specific
250k epic flight toon specific
Pathfinder (achievable on day 1 of patch x.1, nothing locked behind x.2-x.7 or parts 2-42) total unlock of flight account wide.

I’m super glad your not the one making the decisions on this game.
Hands down it would tank.

I wouldn’t mind being able to pay 10,000 gold for 1000 rep once a week from an npc, that would speed things up a bit. Also getting a follower mission for 250 rep on occasion would be cool… perhaps a rare mission.
