Blizzard is making everyone an Elf before giving us Real Quel'dorei

well they are still cowards, they needed magic from something, denying it just to suck artifacts in the comfort of dalaran, It’s not something you’re proud to talk about

they caused their own exile, their fault. their arrogance caused them to remain ‘‘high elves’’

We really need a new forum rule, for no more High Elf threads.
By the Sunwell, I’m sick of them.

  1. Stop it – There are enough High Elf threads.
  2. Get some help – Seriously there are SO many threads. :face_with_spiral_eyes:
  3. Accept it – High Elves are already in the game: They’re simply renamed Blood Elves. You merely want a Horde race, under a different alias.

Listen to the words of the slender dragon … uuh, boi? gal? They / Them? Whatever they are:

:joy: :joy: :joy:

Not really, it’s political only. :person_shrugging:
There’s no biological, physical or cosmic difference between the two.

Heck, there could be a ‘High Elf’ in Dalaran who could turn around & choose to embrace the name ‘Blood Elf’ and join the rest of their kin (that’d actually be a cool quest).

This will happen around the same time Batman gets over his issues and ceases to exist. Which is exactly what will happen to GD without high elf threads.

GD without High Elf threads wouldn’t lead it to not existing – Heck, I’d argue the GD would be far better without them :joy: lol

Jungle Trolls aren’t Darkspear Trolls. They’re much bigger and stronger.

In the words of my lord and savior grand marshal garithos…

Never trust an elf!

Sorry, but Blizzard disagrees with you. Hence why Blizzard said that the Quel’dorei are a major Elven tribe for Midnight

:face_with_raised_eyebrow: No, they don’t.
Blizzard in fact agree with Sendryn here actually.

Congratulations Emet – You’re a liar!

Blizzard themselves said -

  • Blood elves are, biologically and physiologically, high elves.

Source: The Warcraft Encyclopedia/Blood Elves - an official article by Blizzard Entertainment.

It presented information about a variety of things in the Warcraft universe. The original article, formerly located at:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/encyclopedia/index.xml

— although, such did not survive the overhaul of the World of Warcraft Official Website.

Blood Elves being named such due to honouring the blood spilled, but also to honour their blood lines –

  • Question Asked: “What does it mean by ‘we will take the name of our royal lineage’ to “Sin’dorei” as the new representation of BE’s royal lineage?”
  • Answer Provided: “The term ‘Blood elf’ - blood as in those who died, blood also as in lineage, bloodline.”

People continue to insist that High Elves & Blood Elves are biologically or cosmically different … Which they aren’t. lol

  • High Elves & Blood Elves were born in the same culture, kingdoms and share the same history.
  • High Elves & Blood Elves were also born in the same time, around the same places, cultures, kingdoms and said-history — Thus wouldn’t even have different accents. The political differences would have miniscule discrepancies to their overall culture.

Void Elves were cosmically altered by the void, akin to how the Nightborne were cosmically altered from Night Elves into what they are now by the Nightwell – and thus are a new race.

Another factor to note, given it often comes up in these kind of threads …

The Eyes & the Fel-Green Glow:

This CANNOT be used as precedent for argument, as its been confirmed & stated as per sources above, that the name has nothing to do with the fel.

That being said, with the restoration of the Sunwell – They have access to a cure of their addiction & reversion of various elements of fel-corruption by those who either:

  • Fed directly off its power, other than just the other taught methods of satiation.

  • Or were influenced by the radiation which powered the city & kingdom of Quel’Thalas along with their various settlements (What the large green fel-crystals were used for).

So trying to argue the ‘significance’ via the differences of how they managed the former addiction & withdrawal — is just mere medical-history, at best.

Who cares about high elves, did you see the far more interesting new race on WoWhead that looks like it might be another allied race?

They look like Dark Trolls mid transition to Night Elf but some reason are partially fur covered and have quills…

Man, I’m gonna LMAO so hard – If Midnight comes and they end up giving the Alliance ‘Mecha-Dwarves’ or something — anything, aside from 'HiGh eLvEs :joy: lol

high elves are antagonists that should’ve been killed off in bfa or MoP. literally their existence is the position of losers that abandoned their home country to the scourge and did nothing to help them. instead they try to play gatekeeper in WOTLK’s dalaran. I could not think of a small faction more deserving of a massacre, literally just turncoat traitors that hate their own race for trying to live.

Nah, you’re wrong.

The Quel’dorei are one of the major elven tribes for Midnight.

They already kinda did this by making up lightforged draenei and void elves when the Court of Farondis was right there. Ghost elves would’ve been awesome.

Unlike yourself, I actually posted sources.

Also, in the expansion ‘Midnight’ – They said unification of elven tribes, not races …
Heck, the tribes could ALL be classified as ‘Blood Elves’ by race, but merely splintered into different named tribes. :joy: lol

Source? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
Are you gonna do pose it off as your say-so like usual?

You got your high elves through Void Elves on Alliance and Blood Elves on Horde. My god.

If they gave Alliance the ghostly Night elves of the Court of Farondis + Blackrook Hold, in
the expansion ‘Midnight’ – that would be wicked cool

Oh this is the worse excuse against it! The Playable pandarens are ONE SCHOOL worth. The void elves are just a bunch of researchers. Population does not matter for what makes one playable or not.

For now my biggest hope is they are saving high elves for Midnight, the elf expansion. The fact that even SPOILER

Dalaran’s fall didn’t wipe out the high elves tell me Blizzard is not done with them.

We already have two flavors of high elf in the game. One on each faction. They’re not being “saved” for anything.

And we have two flavors of dwarves, that didn’t stop Blizzard from adding a new one.

If this isn’t a sign that Helves aren’t happening the way people would like them to, I don’t know what is!
