As far as the massively large quality of life items in the shop “that do not have to be purchased.” as you say and that you can ignore, such as the mounts that have vendors/ah vendor/mails etc.

You’re being extremely overdramatic. An auction house on a mount is at best a minor quality-of-life improvement for most players. All other mount perks are available on in-game mounts, or via in-game toys and crafted items.
