But that is exactly the argument DPS are given when they complain about a lack of tanks in mythic+ and having to wait in long queues. Almost always it is “well you can switch specs and tank yourself”.

Actually, the response many of us give them is “well if you guys weren’t hating on tanks all the time and telling Blizzard to get tanks out of raids, get tanks out of PvP, and get tanks out of world content… maybe there would be more tanks around”.
