I thought you had learned this from BFA. I got the Halls of Atonement quests, but guess what, I have to do a regular Mythic that won’t bring me any upgrades just to get these quests out of the way… Why? Is it hard to code for it to complete as soon as you finish the M+ run/dropping the quest item on the end of the run chest?
Blizzard, if you have a quest that takes you to a dungeon, it should complete when you do it in a M+
Its because some of the quests require a quest item to drop from a boss.
In M+ the boss doesn’t drop loot.
Yeah, that’s what I meant with the quest item drop on the end of the run chest. But not only that, a kill “x” boss doesn’t count either.
Well on the bright side, the normal dungeon queues are fast for those dungeons especially the weekly dungeon quest and take less than 10 mins.
If you don’t need anything from a mythic 0 then just queue for it on both heroic and normal at the same time and take whatever queue pops first. If it ends up being a normal run you can usually blast through it in no time at all, maybe get mog, or be some random other persons hero when you pass off a 158 item that is useless to you but will be a massive upgrade to someone who is doing normal for the gear.
There are an enormous number of things that seem to have just been overlooked this expansion.
I’ve just been doing the quests to switch back to Kyrian, and while every rare spawn is marked for quest credit, any rare spawns that don’t actually die when defeated fail to provide credit.
I’ve gotten these done in M+ plenty of times. The item really does just come out of the chest at the end.
I do find it annoying, however, that M+ doesn’t seem to count towards those “fill in the progress bar” callings.
This is not new though, the same thing happened in BFA. I can understand if it’s like the Pride of Kul’tiras that had you interacting with items on the dungeon. For obvious reason that would slow down the party during a M+ run. But when the quest is simply “Kill X boss” “Loot X item from boss” it just doesn’t make sense why it wouldn’t count during a M+.
Just get some friends and keep spamming beasts of bastion rares, even after the first kill their deaths still counts, you get to 100% pretty fast.
Heh, that is where I ended up getting a lot of it done, though I didn’t know you could do it after the first kill each day.
