Blizzard, I want to play BG Blitz with my friends
You fixed most of the problems with rated BGs when you introduced the game mode BG Blitz.
The increased mount speed, time to cap nods, making nodes immune for 30 sec after cap, 8 down from 10 people, etc. I think it’s all great.
It’s my favorite game mode, with only one problem: I can’t play with my friends.
I want to get rid of traditional 10v10 RBGs and replace it with GROUPED BG Blitz.
Not saying a solo bracket and grouped bracket should be combined.
Basically, solo BG Blitz stays the same.
GROUPED BG Blitz replaces 10v10 RBGs and acts the same when it comes to grouping, aka you can form your own group, but the game mode is the same as BG Blitz, with increased mount speed, time to cap nods, making nodes immune for 30 sec after cap, 8 down from 10 people, etc.
Sure some people will be pissed with this take, but I think BG Blitz is a better game mode, and it would be fun to play with 7 other friends, instead of one healer friend. Just saying

The Blitz game mode is made this way to make the game easier and faster, I don’t see the point in putting it in the rbg since that is the real game mode.

I must admit, i didnt read all of it first time around.
Grouped blitz sounds good actually.
Yeah you’re right, we should just keep the game mode where one person has to sit a base for 30 min, then the rest meet on another node and team fight for the entire game, because the game is balanced around arena, so literally no one can die if there are 3 healers. We can just ignore the new game mode that fixes all the main issues.
Disagree - premade groups are already ruining regular BG and epic BG. It doesn’t need to ruin the solo and duo ranked experience.

If RBGs could be revamped to include the blitz rules and 8 players it would go along way in helping drive up participation in the bracket. It just feels outdated at the moment.
As much as BG Blitz and Solo Shuffle have helped the anti-socials, it really hit the other modes hard. Would be nice to have an MMO feel again.

Yes. The game is balanced around 3v3, which I don’t think is a bad thing, but it makes 10v10 RBGS feel stale. Blitz fixes a lot of those issues.
Pretty much every RBG group I have been in since blitz came out, everyone talks about how much better of a game mode blitz is
I don’t see anything wrong with this, but I think the current blitz should stay. Have a 10v10 and a random for people who don’t want to organize.
