Dragon riding is the most fun I’ve had in WoW since TBC
Physics based flying was first introduced in GW2, and after so many years (18?) WoW finally did it too. Old style flying is the lamest mechanic ( I wouldn’t even call it a mechanic) ever been introduced to MMOs. physics based flying should become the base line / standard flying and only flying mechanic in an MMO (or any video game).
The whiners just love to whine because they don’t want to spend any effort on learning. They want everything handed to them on a silver platter when things get too challenging. Dragon riding is a progression based system, where you first learn the mechanics, while also leveling up your skills. It’s suppose to feel “weak” at first, but is getting better and better as you level up your skills. In fact, at max level you can fly almost indefinitely.
If blizzard cave in to the whiners and choose to enable regular flying, I hope it comes with sever penalties such as “regular flying mount speed cannot exceed 150%”

For some, it isn’t about “Skills,” it’s about how the mount moves and makes many players Motion Sick.
And no, the Motion Sick option doesn’t work.

I collected my mounts for a reason.
I want to use them not be locked to an expansion gimmick.

Lol at posting on a druid for wanting to use your mounts.

no one is going to force you to use regular flying - why do you want to force others to use dragonflying?

You can walk with them, no?

I don’t think they will. Why put all the work into it to make it useless a few days later?

because they’re trolling.

Instead, Blizzard should enable dragon riding in all regular flying zones.

they said they would enable regular flying later already - not everyone likes dragonflying

How other people play the game when it comes to flying is none of my concern. I say give us both options.

Maybe after the expansion is over?

Please stop already. We get it - you enjoy dragon riding. Your enjoyment of it though does not make anyone else’s non-enjoyment of it any less valid.

If that’s becoming an issue, then they should figure out a way to solve it within the dragon riding mechanic. Maybe tweak few things here and there that players can enable for “motion sickness”

Is this better? I main on my Paladin. I don’t think it should matter what character I post on.
I still stand by what I said. I collected my mounts for a reason I want to use them.
If you want to use an expansion gimmick if regular mounts become available go ahead. It is technically faster.

"Blizzard I beg you"
That’s sad brother… it’s real simple let us choose. You can do what you like and I can do what I like it. I think the problem is Blizzard can’t because once they new car smell wears off of Dragonriding and the honeymoon phase is over. Most people will be regular flying on the mounts they’ve collected over the years. It’s just a gimmick that’s new and people will get sick of it and it will hurts Blizzard’s already fragile ego.

And why are evokers mostly making these threads

you can certainly use them. Either they just won’t fly (behave like ground mounts) or fly at a limited speed of 150%. I think that’s a fair compromise for an expansion built entirely around dragon riding.
Exactly. People who want to ride their dragon can and others can ride their other mounts. We both can co-exist in peace.

i don’t see a problem with it at all. it’s far slower than dragon riding and wouldnt give them any sort of advantage at all, if anything it would be a disadvantage to use regular mounts. not everyone is going to love every single system in this game.
