Blizzard, Honest Midnight Player Housing Question/Feedback

My concern/confusion is Blizzard needs to clarify something. Is it 2 houses per actual wow account/license or battle.net? Because my entire family plays WoW. We have four accounts all paid for but they’re linked under one email which makes them all under one Battle.net ID/Account.

For us to PAY for 4 accounts, even though they are linked under one battlenet, they are 4 seperate licenses. Therefore we should get a total of 8 houses (2 per wow license).

Otherwise with the logic of 2 per battlenet, then we should only have to pay $15 for one bnet with 4 WoW Accounts/Licenses.

I don’t think this is allowed, actually. Careful cuase saying this here could get you banned.

It’s two houses per account. However, if you have multiple logins under that same account, it’s probably going to be the same two houses. So if for example, you’re one email address lets you log into wow1, wow2, wow3, and wow4, then all four of those logins will share the same two houses. In order to have two completely different houses they would have to be on a different battle net account and paid for by a completely different subscription. They assumed that because accounts are not shared, one person will be using the same two houses. However, if you’ve made four separate logins for one account so that three family members can play not only does that violate the shared account usage, but it also prevents you from having more than those two houses.

You are not allowed to share your battle.net account with anyone else.

and you cannot share the Account or the Login Information with anyone

So Blizzard is unlikely to accommodate you at all.

I don’t really understand the multiple wow subscriptions under one battlenet thing.

Most commonly it’s a family shared idea. However, I actually have two different logins under the same email account because I had created one as a starter account so I could test out trial classes. But it turns out they won’t delete the other one, but they will rename it. So now I have one called wow1 and wow3 :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

you have always ( well at least for a very very long time if not right from teh start ) been able to link multiple accounts under one batttlenet account . they have done nothing wrong - Wow account is different from battlenet account . this allows families to have to have different wow loggins but share mounts Etc

Yes this was already clarified. One Alliance and one Horde plot per Bnet account. Your Warband is your Bnet account.

Your houses are also shared amongst your Warband with your different characters being able to come and go as you see fit (so your Orc character can hang out in your Alliance house without a problem). Housing rewards are also shared across your Warband allowing you to use your décor collection no matter which character earns it. If you have an Alliance character and a Horde character, both will be able to own one house in either the Horde or Alliance Neighborhood zones as well.

So you have 4 WoW Licenses under one Bnet.

I’m pretty sure that’s a no no? I’ll have to look it up.

Edit: sharing your Bnet account with multiple people is not allowed. You can have one minor child on your Bnet account, but it isn’t encouraged. As they will grow up and want their own stuff and you can’t transfer a WoW license to a different Bnet account any longer. I linked the article in another post below for someone else.

Never ceases to amaze with all the crime reported in the news all the time that people dont bat an eye at . Heck a few weeks ago a woman was murdered for no reason riding a train and there were people like “ yeah so?”

But yet any time someone says a they share their wow account with a family member no less . Omg it’s like they killed 100 kittens in horrid fire.

And to be clear my account is and has been for twenty years legit and properly paid for and yes I’m no criminal.

But I made mistake once of admitting on occasion a friend or family member (and the occasion is very rare now days like a couple times a year maybe) plays on my account. And I was talked at like I was the worse criminal in world history.

People need perspective and to learn to chill out a bit,

This isn’t entirely true. You can absolutely have multiple WoW Licenses under one Bnet account. But the only sharing Blizzard allows of a Bnet account is for one minor child and these days, they encourage that not to be a thing, as you can no longer move a WoW license to a new Bnet account. So they want minors to have their own Bnet.

You especially cannot have a spouse on your Bnet account. If OP is caught, they can suspend or ban the account.

You’re the only one freaking out over this.

I mean, one of these things is currently relevant and the other isn’t?

No clue why you deleted that message.

As I said before… you may each have your own WoW license, but they are NOT allowed to be on one Bnet account. It doesn’t matter who is paying for the WoW license. Individual people need to have their own individual Bnet accounts. Only one minor is allowed and even that they urge you not to do as they’ll want their own Bnet later and you cannot transfer WoW licenses to a new Bnet account anymore.

No sharing an account but you reply that defensive so I understand. Nice try though.

My family of 4 plays World of Warcraft. We each have our own wow accounts/wow-licenses and we pay for each account but they are linked together through one Battle.net account. We do not and have never multi-boxed lol. I play, so does my mom, my dad, and my sister. It’s four wow accounts because we each have our own characters. Been playing since End of Original BC.

Good job ignoring everything that was said to copy paste that yet again.

Same. If it’s not allowed, why would WoW even sell you multiple accounts under one bnet? If the rule is to make sure everyone is paying to play, the family still bought 4 licenses. And if multiple accounts are possible just to allow kids, the EULA says ONE minor child, so two accts would be the absolute max allowed. Why would WoW make it possible to buy more than two accounts on one bnet if it’s a bannable offense? Just super confusing. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

It made more sense back when you paid for WoW, they let you have minors in the household play under your battlenet account with a sub-account. However you’re not supposed to have any other adults on those sub-accounts. When the minors turned into adults Blizzard would create a new account for them and transfer characters to it.

When they changed it from pay for WoW to all new WoW accounts are now free of purchase and you can play up to level 20 without a subscription. Then they changed their stance that you should get your minors their own battlenet account since its free.

It has been explained to the OP they should contact Blizzard and split their battlenet account into 4 separate licenses moving forward to avoid any disciplinary action. This is not the only thread, he did another one before and it was explained on there as well.
