Blizzard. Here is the best way to fix the toxic raid environment of SOD

Many gaming friends I have left SOD because of the TOXIC raiding environment from what we assume are retail players. Parses, raid logs, taking the fun out of raiding.

Here is an idea that we came up with that can fix this issue: Raids should drop lower item level gear based on performance.

Do you think parsing is good? Great, you can still have fun being top 10% of players, but you now get lower item level gear for better performane.

Raid groups that struggle and wipe multiple times. Raid groups that are in the bottom 50% of parse performance get better loot drops than sweaty performance.

This encourages people to take lower performing specs. It encourages new players to play. The raid group takes more time to clear the raid. The raid does not get “parse” bragging rights. What this raid does get is the best gear in the game.

This is hands down a win win for everyone and will make SOD great.

I don’t think we should have participation trophies. With that said you need to find better people. We took a green/ blue lock with us as a fill in last raid because we were one short. Due to kill times the lock walked away with mostly purples. While parses are partially related to kill times, this person said they know the fights so we took them regardless. Worked out fine, even for a bunch of drunk idiots clearing the raid in sub 1 hour. Point is we can’t base everything on logs as there is a lot of bad pugs with people who can’t lead. Thats the issue

The idea that the raid dungeon behaves differently base on historical data sourced from private interal apis is interesting though.

Thank God you aren’t a dev cause you’re stupid ASF

That’s right, blame every other version of the game instead taking responsibility for the toxic community you all created.
