@OP Not really blizzard, mostly people in charge. I think you can get an old style feel to SV they gave a bleed, explosive, sting… Feels bad though because of stop casting Aimed Shot // Wailing arrow. Sure isn’t from the beta multishot black arrow that we dreamed of. lol
Short and sweet, since Ghostcrawler left, there has been one bad iteration of hunters specs after another. There have been either renewed designs classes or whole new classes entirely that have been modernized for mechanics and gameplay today. So the constantly nerfed hunter new gets addressed on their basic utilities.
The new demand for constant immunities taxes the hell out of the class. While Fortitude of the Bear is welcomed, it normally has to be used in conjunction with survival of the fittest.
Take that into account that we have to constantly stop cast for Aimed shot and Wailing Arrow and God forbid those CD’s come up and your focus drained during a dps offensive buff leaves for a neutred class in it entirety especially since you have to “turtle” as your really only other defensive that doesn’t allow you to DPS when you have that up… which OH BTW, is only a 30% reduction with no ticking health benefit anymore. I can’t even remember what the revolving blades we used to have before turtle, but at least we could DPS…
All of this culminated in the removal of double tap, so they can make a Salvo passive into a button ability (good & bad) to “nerf” the hunter aimed shot for PVP without considering losing Rapid Fire for PVE. The 10% cd reduction is going to be worthless to the PVE M+ aspect, not so much raid.
In short, there is nobody in the room when advocating for the Hunter class, when most of them play mages/locks/Palidans/warriors. It’s just the way we have to accept things until they go ahead and right the ship in some later patch towards the end of a Raid progression. Hopeless
***Oh and I forgot, they have pushed the RANGED hunters into the mid/close range DPS by having ridiculous unavoidable range by either nerfing healing or trying to figure out a way for hunters to avoid damage being close, which negates the whole reason to be a ranged class and by coming fully back to the problem of innodating us with stop cast mechanics and a harrowing defensive options.
