We all think we know but we don’t.
Next thing Blizzard does is to end xrealm BG’s.
Queues become even worse.
Players (horde) who care about queue time will transfer off to lower horde realms (Hearseeker). - Blizzard gets their money.
Eventually all becomes more balanced due to transfers. Queue time drops due to servers population balance, we have decent WPvP where it doesn’t look like “outnumbered Alliance zerged and griefed”.
We all will be happier.
Or nothing.
Or nothing can happen
You are right.
My point is Blizzard still can FIX THIS MESS they created while not putting faction caps on servers.
I believe cross realm BGs should absolutely be removed. I understand that queuing would be better on some realms and worse on others without crossrealm. However, I am losing the satisfaction of knowing who I am fighting with and against. When you manage to find a guildie in one of these AV matches it is unbelievably fulfilling.
Thanks to the 30 and apparently 40 minute cues, I at least get some time to world PVP where I know my foes and allies.
I always knew that through the course of the classic experience we would discover the point where blizzard messed up the trajectory of World of Warcraft. I think we’ve found it.
Agreed, Crossrealm sucks cause it ruins MMORPG feeling.
Apparently, they planned to do xrealms for classic, but this is BS cause for the most of classic lifee it was without it and was added pre TBC I believe when retail started its transformation to its current version.
Blizzard needs to show that they can hear us and agree to this critique as they did while let Classic launch following the years of trolling from their side.
This is the way to fix the current state we all got.
If I have to suffer these Q’s… I would prefer to do it with NO x realm BG’s …
The entire POINT of Xrealm BG’s was to reduce Q times…
Yes, but it clearly failed as they messed up with faction balance.
Queue time could only be fair if you got world wide faction balance which we do not have.
Supposedly all of US servers are close to a 50/50 split for factions.
“Supposedly”
Yeah that won’t work. The fact alliance have had instant queues since day 1 and horde queues continue to get longer shows how severely imbalanced the pvp community is. Even if you spread out all pvp’ers evenly on all servers youd have the exact same issue just in WSG instead of AV, you wouldn’t get to play AV. Horde are the pvp faction, nothing will change that.
Cross realm BG’s solved a real issue in the game, allowing players on unblanced servers to actually pvp. However it shows us just how garbage the honor system really is.
I think you mean “the overall US population is close to 50/50”… which is probably true.
Not everyone partakes in PvP to the same extent, though.
Doesn’t matter if they don’t queue for BG’s or participate in world pvp. In actual pvp content it’s at least 80/20 horde
yeah, overall population looks very tricky.
I am on PvP server and it is hard to get a wpvp group (no jokes).
world char mostly looks like LFG(PvE) and Trump discussions.
Most allies who plays on PvP so chilled so it feels they rolled PvP just to have a “lil adventure” while lvling XD.
Or they just leave it the way it is and every server ends up being a 90/10 split for the dominant faction just like retail!!!
Happening faster then it did on retail because of the early imbalance.
And with world pvp being a main feature of classic, players don’t want to spend all their time getting dumped on with no way to fight back. I would say it’s more to do with impatience than early imbalance. It was manageable before honor, with honor it was unplayable, so they bailed.
yea, there were no such a thing as “Horde zerg” or “FP grief” before the honor being added.
However, still they needed to fix the balance before adding honor.
They had all population numbers, but boy, they never thought how would Alliance fight back when they were outnumbered 3:1.
Stupid ignorance.
BTW still remember when i had to log in at 5 am to turn UBRS quest for trinket in Morgan’s Vigil, cause i could not done it in peak hours lol (due to horde grief)
Guess what, ud warlock was there waiting in 5 am, i was not awaken yet completely and already had dots and sh%t on me. I still managed to get out though lol
I guess the point is blizz couldn’t fix it. The balance is a player made issue. Unless they force faction changes Horde is the pvp faction. It is what it is
Blockquote If I have to suffer these Q’s… I would prefer to do it with NO x realm BG’s … The entire POINT of Xrealm BG’s was to reduce Q times…
So true. Actually having some of our in realm rivalries would at least feel classic again, and for some it might even improve the queues.
Even if horde spread out there would still be more horde queuing BGs than alliance. Its the root cause of the queue problems in the first place. The only thing this would fix is that it would cause horde players to quit which would reduce their queue times.
You’re missing the point entirely. This is how bad it is when you include all realms. Horde queues will be even longer with single server BG’s, and on some realms you won’t get to pvp at all. Unless you’re on one of 3 or 4 pvp servers not completely dominated by horde in pvp your queue time will likely double, and you can forget about AV.
And when people transfer for better queues it will make all but maybe 5 servers pve only. That’s why cross realm BG’s were added in the first place. Unfortunately horde is the pvp faction, if you really want to fix the problem convince a bunch of your friends to reroll with you(not trolling just being honest)
