Blizzard gives the alliance high elves. Are you negatively affected?

Angry at people saying we are the same race, because I am very clearly a bloodelf, not a high elf. And any self respecting Bloodelf would be insulted by someone refering to them as a high elf.

Even if High elves were playable I’d not be changing race, I’d be staying as a Bloodelf on the horde. If I wanted to be an elf on the alliance, I’d go Night elf as they ahve a far more interesting culture.

I’m sure she’s gonna toss him under the bus eventually

Oki thanks for the answer

High elves and blood elves are physiologically the same race

They are the same race.

As I said, they are both recognized as different groups, with High Elves mainly found within the Alliance to Blood Elves mainly found within the Horde.

Yeah of course she will she did it to the whole horde so I don’t see what makes him any different

Eye color is a bit of a stretch. You can be in the same race and still have different eye colors. Also the eye colors seem to be dictated by magic absorption. Though WoWwiki has stated that there is a confirmation that Blood elves are beginning to evolve into being physically and physiologically different than high elves at this point.

It’s all very confusing really. The information always seems to contradict itself. Like I said, per all I can find, the only fel addicted Blood Elves per lore are the ones who went to Outlands and then sided with the Prince. However, like the same lore page two paragraphs down will have information stating that all green eyed Blood Elves are that way because of fel absorption. (Thus Blue eyes for mana and gold for light I’m assuming). SO who knows I guess.

I’ve always gone off something I heard a couple years ago that stated that the High Elves weren’t a race because 90% of the High Elf population was killed off by the Scourge and the remaining 10% became blood elves. Supposedly, the population of true High Elves that remained “pure” high elves were most the ones that were in Outlands at the time and their population wasn’t large enough to “sustain a playable race”

Course if that’s true…how large is the void elf race. It was like a couple of college kids and two teachers during their unlock quest.

A perminant change in eye colour is being changed on a biological level, Bloodelf children are born with green eyes.

And yes they were sucking up fel juice just like someone sunbathing is sucking up sun rays. They absorbed fel magic, and their eyes turned green. That’s not up for debate, its outright canon. Eyes are green because of fel magic.

Valeera has green eyes, she did not go through the same thing if it was only temporary. she went through something different with no lasting effects.

If you walk around in game, without talking to NPCs, you can tell which ones are bloodelves and which ones are high elves. Is that true or not?

Sorry, but 90% of Quel’thalas population was killed. This is something that needs to be stated pretty clearly. Not every High Elf was inside Quel’thalas at the time when Arthas sacked it.

I mean you got 6 different tribes of Troll tribes all look different but in the end they are all Trolls

What’s the difference between those 3 elves besides a few color changes?

Real question is how I’m placing my bet on either sacrifice to empower herself or empowered pawn to try and defeat us but fail horribly kinda like what Azshara like Ashvane.

I’m gonna place a bet for Shadowlands: We’re going to kill off Sylvanas Windrunner in Shadowlands as the major raid boss for one of the tiers.

I’ll put down 10k gold.

Probably a pawn that we kill maybe as raid boss (hopefully the one where Sylvanas dies for good good)

Sorry, but per all sources I’ve got tabbed up. They are stating 90% High Elf population. Not just the one city. If you have any lore source to disprove that. I’d love to see it, but at this point I have to off what I can read up on the subject (granted it’s not without flaws).

Idk I don’t need to bet I think that’s what will happen to

I’ll be honest, I don’t care either way if the Alliance gets High Elves. If it’ll shut people up about the bloody things, by all means.

I do think it’s rather ridiculous to ask for a carbon copy of an existing race, instead of just rolling one of the already playable High Elf models.

I’m really looking forward to putting her down haven’t been this excited on taking out a character I hated so much since Pokey from Mother 3.

Led by the death knight Arthas, a Scourge army stormed into Quel’Thalas, slaughtering almost ninety percent of the kingdom’s population.

Yes, that’s the one I’m using as well. “Kingdom’s population” That’s a big difference form “City’s population” That’s the entirety of the High Elf Kingdom. That’s everything. Or at least everything on Azeroth.

… how do you explain golden eyes now then?

What are they now? Light elves?

Look, I get it that you don’t like people saying they are the same race but fact is that they are.

I love blood elves, they share the first spot in my list of favorite races (along with Forsaken, of course) and the reason why I like them so much is because they went through all they went through.

It is true not self respecting blood elf would call himself a high elf nowadays, it would be disrespectful to those that lost their lives when the Scourge razed through Quel’thalas. They are the children of blood, the ones that were there, that witnessed it all, the ones that struggled to rebuild afterwards. Of course they wouldn’t want to be grouped with traitors that hid behind humans and abandoned their own kind in their hour of need.

However, in this argument, when it comes to lore, they are indeed the same race, it’s a faction, the majority of high elves, that decided to honor the fallen.
