Blizzard gives the alliance high elves. Are you negatively affected?

Sorry, you are wrong but I do like your childish behavior though.

So, you’re comparing Pro-Helfers to screaming children?

That is a pretty bad way to compare a group of paying customers of a video game

thats literally my point. What people want is the standard ‘elf’ - what blizzard do is spin a classic fantasy race so its unique to wow and the franchise.

Except Blizzard hasn’t done this.

i’m negatively affected as it ruins the lore, the immersion, the horde fantasy, and most importantly its a middle finger to all blood elf and horde lovers in game. What you ask for hurts all of the horde and robs them of all their joy. Plus people like yourself who keeps bringing this up after blizzard said no really need to avoid society, i feel bad for people you come into contact with if the word no has no meaning to you.

Again though, high elves are in the game already as npcs. We just want the ones that have been alliance all along to finally be playable.

(Commentary): High Elves aren’t quite a standard elf though. They’re still very much so a WoW elf. They’re fairly well deviated from the Tolkien fantasy elves. They could be set further apart in WoW easily enough with some added class options.

The only alliance AR I like is dark iron. I am more looking forward to wildhammer options though.

One reason for the Blood Elves choice was obviously looks. You’d be amazed how many people will not play the Horde based purely on the fact that they’re monstrous. So by giving an attractive race to the Horde, we feel like we’re opening a whole new part of the game to the people who wouldn’t experience that half of the game.

And Blizz has been pretty clear that they’re not going to give the Alliance blue-eyed Blood Elves as a playable race. Void Elves may not have a very good background, but they’re as close as Blizzard is willing to get.

On this forum. The primary specific allied race request on this forum. And much of that demand comes from the same set of names recycling threads and creating new ones over, and over, and over. And as that happens I see just as many Alliance opposed to them as for them.

None of the Alliance players I know, whether they main Alliance, left Alliance for Horde, or split between factions, wants High Elves. None of the Horde I know are interested in High Elves.

If you want to attract more players interested in high-end content, High Elves are unlikely to get that done.

(Observation): But, they did. That’s what Void Elves are. Void Elves are literally Blood Elves, who now have blue eyes. And skin. And hair.

Actually they’ve said there were no plans in the near term but anything is possible. They never said an explicit no to high elves.

I was commenting on how it might feel good to watch someone not get what they want, and using that as an example. I’m not even talking about the topic.

Lol same here Dark irons are the only Alliance Ar I have unlocked I don’t care to go for AR I don’t care about I have none of the legion ones I am halfway to exalted with

Army of Light and Mechagon but yeah don’t care about them.

(Commentary): I do not disagree with this sentiment, but at the same time, I don’t think any Allied Race is going to get Alliance players interested in high-end content. What High Elves will do, is give Alliance players a desperately needed boost in pride.

https://wow.gamepedia.com/Elven_ranger sort of argues with that. That warcraft 2 is about as generic an elf as its possible for an artist to create

I agree if blizzard could ‘spin’ the race somehow and keep blonde hair blue eyes it’s fine. But they’ve shown (4 times) that the amount they want to brand an elf as a ‘wow elf’ is too far for the players who want a standard elf.

But you are comparing the Pro Helfers to a bunch of screaming children who can’t get there own way.

As I said, it is a pretty bad way to compare a group of paying customers of a video game.

And considering the Horde asked for Vulpera. Guess what, you’re playing what was requested.

I have all but mechagnomes unlocked alliance side. I only have a dark iron leveled though.

(Commentary): This is just my opinion, but if Void Elves had been the Silver Covenant joining Alleria on a trip to the Twisting Nether looking for the remnants of her rangers from the Second War, corrupted and turned into Void Elves while out there, and now trained by Alleria just to survive the horrors of the whispers and their dark powers, I think we wouldn’t be having this conversation. But, for reasons that we’ll likely never know, that was NOT the course of action taken.
