Night elf paladins make total sense in the lore , more then gnome priests . i wont get much in paladin lore and why night elfs are totally fine . i dont see any reason we shouldn’t have that race class combo . There have been like 100 threads about this so far .
Cmon blizzard do it all ready
Priestess of Elune, upgraded Hunter.
Battle Priest*, NE Paladin.
I could see it. *The correct name would be needed, Moonshields? Elune’s Hammers?
One of the hard parts here is quite clearly coming up with a cool and unique title.
You’ll get your wish at some point, I’m sure, maybe as close as the next expansion. If they caved on things like Covenant swapping and the Mage Tower in an effort to save face, they’re likely to continue with new races and race/class combinations in the future.
Okay.
You get Night Elf Paladins but, for some reason, Night Elves can no longer be druids.
All current druids must reroll.
No.
The game does not need to regress just because you’re not getting something as well.
What Horde race should add:
1 - Druid
2 - Shaman
3 - Paladin
And you get to choose one, two, and / or three, there’s no reason to anger players.
this game should have all classes in all races and should be able to roll all classes in the same character, just saying
I was super enthusiastic about Zandalari Paladins and Nelves should for sure get them.
I almost agree.
I’d say all save one combo, however each race could have an item that allows access to said one race / combo ban.
Kinda like the Orb of Deception, except it allows say a NE Warlock which is normally out, due to lore reasons. I personally don’t see Night Elf Warlock being… justified? However the item listed above would be the workaround.
And, to type it, have one such race / class combo cutoff for each race, and an item that allows one character on the account to be made of any one normally blocked race / class combo.
I know people want it all for game play choice reasons but I do think some story limitations are called for. Forsaken make no sense as Druids for instance.
Please. That would be so awesome😩
Not only that but it was in the Paladin Order Hall campaign…hopefully in 10.0 it will finally happen.
GOGO Knights of Elune! Or whatever name they come up with, that’s just my personal vote.
If each race has one class barred / banned, Forsaken Druid would be theirs, from the lore.
NE and Draenei both seem to disfavor Warlocks, while say Blood Elves are a pretty hard guess thus far. BE Druid seems a reach, however, I can see it?
I think storywise it could be there. After Elune kinda shrugged at everything with Teldrassil some disillusioned priests could decide to start looking into the Light the Humans and Draenei are always going on about.
Druids are really difficult. I can see them being super hard to wedge into atleast half the races.
Or Blizzard could actually write Elune as a Mother to her People as she should be, and yet never is, thanks to Blizzard itself?
Elunite Knights make sense, however Blizzard isn’t likely to do that really, or at least, not do it WELL.
half lacking Druid and the other half lacking Warlock would make this all save one super easy
Here we’ll differ. I actually think making the cosmic forces hardly paying attention to mortals is good. Elune being a distant absentee Goddess is more interesting to me atleast.
Night Elves have been getting crapped on since Vanilla thanks to Blizzard.
Adding Elune to the pile isn’t good news for playable Night Elves, nor the race in general.
The Ashbringer comic had a Jungle Troll studying the Holy Light at what would become the Scarlet Monastary I believe…
End of the day having any class/race restrictions makes very little sense at this point. There’s no real reason an Orc couldn’t learn to be a paladin, or a Night Elf learn to be a Shaman. Like… there is legitimately no reason at all at this point since they’ve had 20 years to multiclass to whatever they wanted,
Apparently MagHar picked up Monk in just a couple months, so I’m sure a Night Elf hanging out in EPL trying to reforest everything working closely with the argent crusade could have founded an order of Nelf Paladins.
Even something unthinkable like Goblin Duids would make sense if you throw a bit of story at it. (remember in chronicles they clarify that the first goblins were island dwelling forest creatures I think) So… they find their feral cousins and boom goblin druids.
Player choice is an RPG element, and if they want this to be an RPG again, they should really include things like that.
I agree completely.
I just happen to think the “Every race has one class it can’t be normally. And, we’re even putting into the game an item that lets you make one race / class combo that’s not normally available in exchange for using said item. You can find many of them and use them at your leisure.”
Rpgs traditionally have class/race restrictions. If anything coming from that angle is why they are there in the first place.
