Blizzard Gear Store - The hardware you wear

Don’t buy from the Blizzard Gear Store.

I made a modest order of $150 for my birthday. November 3rd. For any customer support agents I’d be happy to provide more info. Three items were purchased.

As I write this i’ve been sitting in the gear store online chat, it forcefully closes me after 30 minutes, and the phone does the same. Worse, it routes me to EUG randomly, who can’t help with US tickets. However they’re also the only ones who respond.

Anyway, two items were delivered out of the blue November 12, with no emails and no notifications. Funnily enough their status online is unfulfilled. This left me waiting on the third item, wondering where it was. This was the ‘big ticket’ item and the one I wanted the most.

This is when I began calling and emailing in earnest. Every few days I would call, email, and use the online chat function. Whenever I was able to get through to someone on the phone, they would actually be helpful and knowledgeable. I’ve been able to sit out the queue only twice, once before Nov 12, and the agent said the third item was holding up the order. Once again after Nov 12, and the same agent said they would reach out about my order and send me an email by the end of the day Monday, Nov 21. That didn’t happen again.

I’ve been forcefully removed from the online chat queue multiple times, I guess it’s an artificial way to reduce their wait times, since it times me out around 30 minutes and makes me open up a brand new ticket. I have never spoken to an agent from the US with their online chat, 24/7 what a joke. The only people who ever answer after a solid few hours are EU support, and they can’t do anything for a US ticket. They have provided proof they’ve escalated the case to the corresponding US team, but ofc the US team does nothing with it, and they’ve escalated it twice with no correspondence.

The email function might as well not exist. They send you a confirmation email they’ve received the email, and then nothing happens, like throwing a stone into the ocean, you’ll never see it again. Since I placed the order and throughout my various queries with email, I haven’t received a single email back.

Please, what in god’s name is going on with your shipping process, your notification system, and your support functions?

At this point I just want to cancel the item I’m still waiting on. According to blizzard’s records I don’t have any so I should be able to receive a full refund, but honestly I just want that portion returned.

Of course I want my item more than anything else, but it’s clearly not going to happen. At this point I’m shafted with no item, no money, and no communication. Definitely unacceptable. If someone wants to help me file a complaint I’d love to do so as well.

At this point, I’m about to go post to reddit and twitter too, since only hate-clicks seem to be the thing to make any agency of Blizzard take action to rectify their mistakes or sheer incompetence.
