Blizzard, Fix Your Terrible Servers

Blizzard, fix your terrible servers. There is absolutely no excuse for your servers to perform this horribly. Do you really consider yourself a AAA game company if you can’t even manage to have a single PvP shard during the Nazjatar Event without terrible lag? This is inexcusable and a disgrace. Get it together.

Hi, No Lag Man here. Have you considered the problem might be on your end?

no lag on my end either.

I usually have a super stable connection but sometimes large scale (i.e. 40 vs 40) pvp out in the world, there is some server lag and you can see people gripe about it in general chat.

It doesn’t always happen but it does more than is ideal.

It’s your system! there isn’t any lag… on a side note Blizzard keeps their servers in top shape! and I think you should apologize for your rude comment to them!

You’re full of crap. I’ve been playing this game for 14 years and not once have I ever seen a server do a single push-up.

true, and I have for sure experienced lag in the past but haven’t in a while, maybe I’m just getting lucky and am playing at less crowded times.

So naive…

It is laggy in normal mode. Takes seconds to pick up the mail in Boralus often lately.

Warrior gets wrecked, blames blizzard for lag.

Of course you haven’t. Servers are powered by hamsters and emergency generator gerbils.

They’re long distance runners in their power-wheels, they don’t do pushups or lift weights.

servers can’t handle a big wpvp.
100 players moving and casting at the same time lag or crash the servers.

That’s why the last time 2 alliance group raided Zuldazar GMs had to port them out, it was unplayable.

The old saying goes you can blame the customer all the time. Till the time you close the doors.

I hate to say this… but what do you expect Blizzard to do that is economically feasible? There hasn’t been a Game Server that can handle that kind of load that isn’t pixels and stick figures available for commercial use yet.

The closest you get is EvE Online, who use time dilation and effectively drop the game into a turn-based mode where 1 in-game second is spaced over several real world seconds or even minutes to keep the load from crashing everything on the server cluster.

Planetside does okayish, but large scale battles still have a tendency to turn into slide-shows.

I can’t think of a game that can pull off 80+ players operating in close quarters in direct observation of each other smoothly.

If you can, please mention it, I’d love to give that game a play.

Never had a problem with lag in this game and I am on high pop servers. Its a you problem.

What is the difference between server side lag and client side frame rate drops? I am asking for a friend.

P.S. I am not actually asking.

Also you forgot to add blizzard is just a s all indie company.

I agree the servers are terrible. it will say i have 40 home and 40 world ms but my gcd is like 2 gcds behind sometimes in najzatar.

Nope, it’s absolutely server side lag during the nazjatar pvp event. If the problem is too many people, they need to actually cap the shards. They forced this shard system on us, and cant even figure out how to load balance properly, which would solve this problem, but that would require a modicum of effort on their part, so looks like it’ll never happen.

Yep. I’ll notice very slight ability lag when there’s large scale pvp going on in the zone.
