this is why blizzard is on a downward spiral publicly… they have the dragon fever … they value the gold over there integrity and word… a tale as old as time. and NO IT WOULDNT LOL everything in the game is tallied they can easily run an algorithm to find all the unequipped BOEs and brutos.

Blizzard might have access to the data, but it’s a needle in a haystack situation.
They can’t just look at a screenshot of an item, or even the tooltip on a website and be like "yes, that’s being sold by “Sketchydude on Tichondrius. LETS GET HIM LADS”.

well right now there is about zero policing. the players have to police and unless you have 10 people nothing happens during a report. no excuses. 2.1 billion dollars they got a lil money they can spend.
That 2.1 billion isn’t just sitting in a Scrooge McDuckian vault somewhere where they can just take more money out to solve problems lmaooo

bro ive literally helped run a server on city of heroes. the amount of data they are privy to with ease is beyond ur comprehension. everything in this game is recorded. they know every person in alphebetical order chronologically who ever bought a bruto. and where and when a boe drops and by what guild. there is only like 10 guilds on my server even in mythic if that

Man if you think your City of heroes server with 15k players is even remotely similar to a game with millions of players across like 50 servers is even within the same ballpark, you are living in a fantastyland.

But they don’t have any transparency.
I can have a BOE in my bags, go to someone on the street, say “Give me $25 and I’ll trade it to you”.
All Bliz sees is that two people, at some point, traded BOE - something that happens 1000’s and 1000’s of times a day. They have no context that there was a real money transaction backing that.
The folks advertising on the website certainly aren’t posting the accounts or characters that are involved. In fact, the buyer may have no idea who to meet in game. Just suddenly gets the BOE in their mailbox.
So, its effectively impossible to police this kind of thing. And it’s low grade enough to not be a real bother.

Brutosaur is still legally, rarely available on BMAH. (A lot of us grinded our butts off last xpac &/ bought wowtokens gold to finish the journey.) BOEs can be bought with gold also. You can do all these things legally; without RMT.
The game is pay to win - just make sure Blizz gets their cut through WoW tokens or you’ll get banned. Not for buying gear, or rating - for failure to pay the house its due…

Okay, so convince the players who are using these illegal services to knock it off. If there is no market, these sites wither away and the issue is moot. Unfortunately, there is a market for services and items. Rather than pointing the finger at Blizzard and demand for them to stop a battle they’ve been fighting since day one - go after the players who are the base cause of the issue.

I wouldn’t advertise for sites like that by posting links to them. They are almost exclusively there to steal your credit card info and in return, they give you nothing at all.
I wouldn’t even take the chance visiting a site like that as many also try to get malicious software onto your machine during the “visit”.

you need to relax though, for sure. im trying to start an adult conversation and you come in here raging out protecting real money trading . the only place you can get a bruto is on a website… the only place on my server you can get the 226 plate crit haste gloves is on a website. these are factual 100 % confirmed.
as a kid i thought how fun it would be to swim in money like him, then i got older and was like wow that word hurt, coins are hard lol.
