Blizzard doesn't ban extremely obvious gold buyers, you think they actually will ban crafty GDKP'ers?

Title. Friend of mine has bought just shy of 2k gold through S1 of SoD, Face to Face trade where they just traded a few junk items to each other. No ban. Many others are the same way.

Do y’all really think the 3 people working in their GM department are actually going to be hunting down the obscure ways people will come up with to GDKP? Not a chance.

people don’t report goldbuyers… they 100% will sneak into underground gdkps to make it a hostage situation where if you don’t give them all of the loot, they will report the whole raid and take them down with him

I promise you anybody advertising gdkps will be instantly banned by mass reports :joy: so at the very least recruiting for gdkps is much harder now

They’ll threaten it sure but no one is actually going to risk their own account being perma banned for that.

Right, I’m saying there’s going to be insanely convoluted ways that the playerbase will come up with to get around this - and blizzard is not going to police it to that extent. All I have to do is get you into discord then we can communicate everything outside of the game.

For example: everyone is going to type their bids in discord chat. ONLY the person who “wins” is going to /roll in the game. I’ll then give you the item. Sure, you might have to pay me later to avoid some sort of automated flag, but there will absolutely be ways to get around this.

thats some major copium considering people have multiple accounts and can lvl to 40 in a couple days

also nobody is going to pay you later lmao they’re going to take the item and walk

And this is why GDKP’s will be a lot less common but still prevalent, you’re just going to need to vet the people you run with prior.

Hey OP, just wanted to welcome you to the forums. It’s nice to see the explosion of characters with 0-2 posts suddenly popping up defending GDKPs.

Definitely not just an army of alts. :+1:

Just because he hasnt been banned yet doesmt mean he wont. I hope blizzard bans you for not reporting it.

and how are you going to vet anyone? I know for a fact if someone in a discord asks me to join I will just to take the item and then leave, especially considering i can fake bid on the best drop with no consequence since being blacklisted from a gdkp is a good thing

Out of sight, out of mind. That’s really what people want. Like, I don’t care about instance bots but I hate seeing every camp out in the open world botted.

No there wont be. Blizzard will see someone trading bop epics to players and mysteriously receiving tons of gold from said players. Not to mention sending cuts to 39 people? Its extremely easy to track.

Gold sellers trying to protect their income stream.

Youll vet me… bring me along… meanwhile im streaming it for blizzard to see.

don’t worry I’ll make it a mission to find all of them I can at 40. There are already plenty of people getting set up to snipe all GDKPERS. Unlike bots and gold sellers these people have to have a social interaction with other people to set up GDKPS. They aren’t hiding it no matter how hard they try.

I’ve had several friends eat bans for gold buying so far in SoD hilariously enough. One of them ate a ban that will see them coming back on the 7th with barely time to spare before Phase 2. They’ve learned their lesson. Not surprised that Blizzard doesn’t get everyone though.

Nope, they’re going to outsource the issue to AI and it’s going to be a complete mess where a bunch of innocent people probably get banned right alongside the people trying to do under the table GDKPs and carries.

You have surpassed even The Boss. We hereby award you the title of Big Boss.

You are not friends.
You don’t sell your friend like this

Lol ill take it

That’s why I’m not in here name dropping them lol. It annoys me and I’ve complained about it over disc to them, but they’re an adult.
