Blizzard didn't listen. Again

So, we played a lot of 9.2.5 PTR to find out how Shrouded would feel for our guild. Back then a 15 Gambit was relatively well balanced, it was a challenge given our gear was capped but it worked out just fine.
Iron docks… lol, well. In PTR Iron Docks was MASSIVELY overtuned, we gave it several attempts and we couldn’t time it then.
Karazhan… well idk how to put this into words but…
Let’s just say, whoever “balanced” the dungeons for Season 4 M+, simply put, has never played the game to any degree in their life. They’ve definitely never raided, definitely never done a key, hell I bet they’re still in Durotar trying to figure out how to wake up the lazy peons.
Credibility: our group is all 3k+ rating, some are 3.2k or above, we’re all 278 or above, we can’t time a 16 Docks. That’s a major issue (it’s mostly because we keep getting 1 shot by trash mobs or by boss trash adds (Oshir or w/e his name is, dogs chunk for 35% of ur health).

QA blizzard.

Edit: we reported this in PTR, multiple times, in multiple dungeons. There were DPS checks as expected, but impossible ones too unfortunately.

Agreed, just tried lower Kara and that was a !@#!show. Entire group was 3k players.

It is kinda strange, mechagon feels too easy, khara to hard and tazavesh is allright.
Oh and grim rail is just bad in general.

that’s right! You know it, I know it and everyone with a brain knows it! <3

Grimrail depot has been improperly scaled for years every time it came into timewalking. Blizz doesn’t care anymore.

Docks isn’t soo bad. Oshir is pretty easy once you figure out how to do it. You can ring of peace/CC dogs and then the dragon whelp that he releases, you can poly/frost trap/etc.

The one thing that does need tuned on him is his ravage or the focus. Doing 8% of the bosses total hp on tyranical week is not realistic to break this. BUT, I have found that things like BoP/Immunes/vanish/cloak/IQD break his ravage. You should be able to kill him before he pops the 3rd ravage. Outside of that, healing CD’s and defensives get you through it.

Well, they never learn anything from PTR testing in the past, so why would this be any different. I’m expecting way overturned dungeons for Dragnoflight also, because Blizzard are very bad at balancing old content and scaling it up. Super bad, and it all comes down to testing, and the fact they don’t do enough of it, and don’t listen to advice.

Docks is easily timed. It’s not fun, the first boss has two abilities that are pretty gamebreaking in the unmarked fire arrows and the fear buff that activates even on 20 second old dots. But it’s easily timed. I two chested a 16 with a dog water group comp (blood, rdruid, feral, boomkin, frost dk). Any difficulty your 3k group has with timing a docks boils down to simply “git gud”.

Lower Kara, however, is an absolute turd storm of epic proportions. I agree with any and every criticism of that horrific display of development resources. The shadow priest add on Moroes melee’d my tank for 40k and then 75k damage .4 seconds later. Why is a shadow priest add with Anathema windfury OHKOing my tank?

If there’s any periodic effects that are triggering it, bug report it, cause they shouldn’t.
They may have also forgotten to disable it for “direct” damage that procs from dots, like Shooting Stats.

I’m fairly certain Fury of Elune is also triggering it. It’s difficult to tell because of how fast all of these little damage effects happen.

everything could be answered with one single sentence:

“Blizzard don’t test their game”

I had a great time on iron docks. Probably the one I enjoy the most so far

They listen, but they just don’t act.

They do not play their own game. No one who test this game prior to releasing it would have released it in its current form. It’s not fun at all. Who selected these dungeons? Some voting system that most didn’t even know was happening? Who was in charge of the overall quality of play for season 4 mythic? It’s just a downer.

Get this right, please. Hire actual testers or someone who plays the game, good lord.

It’s weird how gambit and streets feel fine damage wise. everything feels pretty easy.

lower karazan the bosses just dont feel right. scaling seems off. same with grim

I agree. with the above posters.

Taz Dungeons feel good. Usual stuff appropriate for key lvl.

Mechagon feels fine, maybe a little on the easy side in places, but not off by much.

Iron Docks feels pretty good overall, just slow really. The timer on higher keys feels tight just because its soooo looong just walking it.

Upper Kara isnt terrible… it does feel a little on the hard side for key level, but not terribly out of whack for the most part. A few small things would make it perfect.

Lower Kara is just horrendous. lots of ways to die, not a ton of warning. a 13 key feels like a 17+ Taz. Very tight and overtuned. I also think there are several bugs. Like I dont recall the Moroes Whirlwind guy just whirlwind’ing forever. The barrier on Maiden is still really large even post-nerf. just obnoxiously difficult and dangerous both from the trash and the bosses.

Grimrail, as many have stated, is just not set up to be a M+ dungeon. Affixes that cause area abilities (aka most of them) are just really problematic. When you pull a group and have to wait for the trail of sanguine/sleep puddle to despawn to keep going… not good. I think the removal of the boxes on the train sections would help (other than 2nd boss obvs) if they want to keep it. Also just removing a pack in each of the middle sections so that you have some extra room between packs.

All of the WoD/Kara dungeons could use respawn points after each boss… the lower kara run is god awful if you wipe (and you probably will) and basically causes you to fail the key.

Not to take away from anything you said, but there’s a skip in lower Kara that opens after you kill Opera boss.

From the spawn go left and then hug the right wall. You’ll go through a door (that’s closed before Opera) and be on a balcony (you can jump down from) right above the stairway that goes down to Huntsman. It’s a useful death skip too because the trash after opera is really painful.

Season 4 was supposed to build hype for Dragonflight. Instead, all it’s making me wonder is why I continue to sub.

yeah I mean I didn’t have insanely high expectations, but to be honest at least we get to see the inside of other dungeons rather than the same ones for another few months. some positives i guess
