Do you remember back in DF Season 4 where they nerfed brewmaster, not because its damage was so much higher than everyone elses, but because a single top Brewmaster (Equinox) tweeted a picture of him doing the TWW equivalent of 1.3m dps overall in a dungeon? And at the same time, it was still one of the lowest played, weakest tanks in the game.
They never added increased threat to the nerfs either. It was straight up just nerfed damage and threat.
