Credit where its due, they did make one great change to healing by buffing single target healing abilities.
Really not sold on their mana changes though…
Will need to see how it goes obviously but it almost seems to defeat the purpose.

Adjusting of group healing effectiveness. Less great, but if we’re able to spot heal then okay.
Raid survivability cooldowns getting nerfed. Okay this is getting a bit worrying.

Since when did that even matter? The problem with this game is that the longer it goes on and the more they focus on the top 1% or less, the worse it gets for everyone else.
In high high keys AOE healing is king, so what do they do, nerf it of course and make ST healing matter so players will pull less, or be more careful where they stand meaning less DPS going out, longer to kill mobs, longer for the tank to take ST damage, so, more ST healing from the healer.
But that won’t work, they are trying to force more and more of their own playstyle and how they want us to play, but that never works, it has never worked in the past, it won’t work now, all it does is push people away from the game.
All you need to do is look at how many healers were available pre 10.1.5, it was a tank shortage, now it’s a healer shortage, it’s not like healers slowly dropped off over a few months or patches, it happened overnight.
Single-target heals suck.
Blizzard sees that as a problem, so they’re nerfing group heals and raid cooldowns.
Does anybody think the encounter designers will get the memo, this time? Because they never have, before.
(The solution is to buff single-target heals and leave everything else alone. Maybe if single-target heals didn’t suck, people might use them. But apparently this never occurred to Blizzard.)

Define high keys. Because from what I’ve seen, high keys are more reliant on cooldowns than raw throughput.
But your post is especially funny to me as a Holy Priest main, since the biggest (only?) thing they’re nerfing is how often I’d get to cast Salv. A talent that’s never taken in M+. Meanwhile, Flash and Serenity are getting buffed by 30-40%… That’s freaking massive.
It’s classic Blizzard overcorrecting. Single target heals suck? Buff it and make aoe healing and/or mana suck instead! Too many daily quests in MoP? No daily quests in WoD, because who needs world content anyway! Too many abilities? Prune ALL the abilities! Too few abilities? Throw in as much useless junk as possible and just for fun make one or two specs require a degree to play (here’s looking at you, Arcane!)

You know the reason i don’t do high end content as a healer is because i’m terrified of ooming during a fight. Or having to drink in between each pull. With the current mentality of “GO GO GO” taking a mana break is unheard of for modern retail. Making mana even more important for healers makes me not want to play healer’s even more. Plus they have no idea how heavy this is going to impact arena’s now its gonna take longer to kill people with a healer in a enemy comp
