I just hate puzzles at all and not because I can’t do them. I can do them and I did them when I had to.
The reason I hate them is because that’s not the kind of game I signed up for. I don’t want to play Mario, I want to play World of Warcraft. However, I get some people must enjoy them since they keep adding them to the game but they need to be 110% optional.
I’m sorry, you have not convinced me that you are paying for your subscription yourself.
Jumping puzzles should be entirely optionals. I like them though, they’re a fun challenge (imo)
Rock climbing is one of my main sources of fun in WoW. But it’s so as it’s a “sandbox” feature that practically only I like (I have climbed almost all mountains in WoW). Blizz getting their grubby hands on it makes me cringe. Farewell grappling hook. Wonder what will they’ll devise to ruin my other main tool, the fishing raft.
I am not being elitist about rock climbing. The problem is they will probably make it mandatory, for a base player who showed that they could not care less about it.
That’s the operative word: optional. Literally everything is ok as long as it’s optional. But our world does not believe in optional, let alone Blizz. The idea of “consent” is awesome, but still not operative in almost all human interactions.
Only active accounts can post here in general discussion, anyone who claims they don’t have an active sub to WoW and is posting is lying. I don’t know how else to convince you that my sub is active without giving you my login information. lol
I did not say your sub was not active. I’m not sure you felt the need to try to reframe it like that.
In any case, you have convinced me that I and everyone who has ever had any complaint about the game or what they may see as the toxic community you support should stop playing and go full Free to Play.

This team seems clueless to what the open world players want. They are banking on the ocd achieve hunters once again.
Rock climbing is probably just a silly way to say jumping puzzle.
Staffing a content team is interesting.
And that they said the end game zone per se is literally all four zones so again, that is interesting. I just don’t know, with how interesting ‘engaging rares’ can be since I gotta say, rares in general aren’t my cup of tea and if SL is anything to go by, are not fun. Just a check list.
Jumping puzzles are just horrible implemented and again, a gimmick, not fun.
Rock climbing in wow? Dear god that is going to be rough with how WoW handles these kind of mini games.
Dragon racing, nice idea but I think that’ll be more a ‘me’ issue since I know I’ll suck at it so no fun in it for me. I’m sure others MIGHT enjoy it.
Overall, I hope others enjoy 10.0, but it really feels I’ll be bowing out with SL as crummy as it feels. That paired with no solo or semi-solo instanced content is a deal breaker for me.
Seems Feasel and others aren’t really sure what to do with the open world and are throwing stuff they’ve done at the wall to call it a day.
I really dislike puzzles.
Blech. I’d imagine that “rock climbing” means using janky, awkward vehicular movement buttons combined with grapple points and a debuff called, “unsure footing… you’re about to fall! Keep moving!”
In other words, I imagine it will be rather unpleasant heh.

I feel like this should be the tagline of the new WoW Villain.
So are they going to actually fix jumping in game or is this another really bad idea crammed into a game where jumping really doesn’t work and never has worked well?
Seriously whoever dreams up this crap doesn’t actually play the game because they would know when it comes to it jumping has never worked.
